Sometimes for shots right down the line (or foul) it will cut to the view angled directly down the line, but most of the time, no-doubt or not, it's this view to all fields with no camera cut.

It's certainly not a "broadcast" type view, but it's a pretty realistic one from the batter's (and then the catcher's) PoV. It's still pretty obvious when I've hit a no-doubter even without the no-doubt camera, with the Perfect-Perfect bat crack and being able to see the batter start his jog.
That's not a no doubt HR, so the camera wouldn't activate no matter what your settings are.

I am in the I hate it but make it an option camp. Takes away from broadcast presentation which I enjoy.

I don’t mind it..not in love with it..but maybe a camera shot that captures the front side of the Hitter, also.
So you can see his expression - his body language-his bat flip - then flight of ball...just another option.

Personally I think it is cool. If it is a big moment in the game and my player connects with one and sends a no doubter over the wall it is a great feeling.

But I do see the reasoning behind people wanting the option.

I absolutely LOVE that camera - especially this year when you know that you nailed a pitch because it combines with that incredible sound off the bat.

Combine that with a good bat slam and some celebrations, and it's so much fun.

I'm in the same boat. When you "earn" a HR by getting into a good count, anticipating a pitch, getting the right location, and timing your swing right, you can "feel" it instantly, and the no-doubt cam just enhances the experience of combining situational awareness with ratings and user skill to get the ultimate outcome.

I hate, but understand why some would like it. Not sure why the option to turn it off ever went away

I know. Was just showing it to demonstrate the camera effect.

Here's a quickie no-doubter with the same camera movement (in practice, but the batter's animations are that of a real game):

                    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/US8i7rFZuP4" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I will say on blasts like that it's probably about 60/40 odds that I'll get that camera instead of the pullback one, because it does like to use the pull-out ones down the lines. The closer to CF the HR is, the less chance the camera cuts.

                        I can live without it.
Sort of takes the drama away if you can't see the ball.

I enjoyed 2K Sports Major League Baseball's take on the no doubt home run.
The camera would jump back and display the power and flight of the ball.

Im personally a big fan of the no doubt cameras. To me, it adds to the excitement of knowing you just completely mashed it. Plus, i dont remember a time NOT being able to see where it landed.

I don't mind it. If its there its fine if it were gone its fine as well.

I do wish though they added back the option to either toggle it on or off. That way the user can choose whether to use it or not per their preference.

Regarding the toggling, it's weird that you can see the option in Home Run Derby to no effect on that mode or any mode outside of it. Lots of "legacy items" that just stay floating in the game for no apparent reason. Of course, what's also missing in Home Run Derby now is a proper 3rd person cam, as well as using Retro cam for home runs.

Anyway, the new home run camera is much better than the old one, but it would still be better to have the option. Though it should be programmed a bit better, in that sometimes the player gets in the way of the ball.

What I don't like it is why we have the camera that we have. It has this "look at me" vibe in that it wants us to see the celebration animations they put in, like the bat flips and such. In real life, this generally happens by the time we see the replay. I'd prefer it's saved until then; hell, even have the commentators recognize it and call it out. But get out of the way of the ball's flight.

The broadcast home run cam, while gorgeous, has its quibbles as well. The camera only tilts up as high as the ball's landing spot. This too takes a lot of the "suspension" out of where it's going to land, and in some cases you can't even see it. If you hit it out of Wrigley, Fenway, or Oracle Park, you're just watching the camera pan at ground level without any sort of semblance of what the ball did the whole way through. At least at Oracle they should switch to the Splash Cam at some point, if they're able.

I'm not highly anticipating next-gen just because of superior graphics. I'm hoping this game gets a complete rewrite and overhaul. Things like algorithms for gameplay cameras is one of those things I hope gets incredibly reworked. If they just stick with the same ol', they're going to start to lose a certain fanbase (which I don't suppose they care as long as the DD money keeps pouring in).

I am in the minority, but I love the angle it shows. It should have a toggle option though.
