No but considering it is a first party developer, I think the odds of it coming to the PS5 are nearly 100%.

I was able to procure a PS5, so I’ll be all over a next-gen version. Excited to see what Ramona and the crew can do.

I'm lukewarm at best to gaming as a whole right now, so if I think about getting 21, it will only be for the PS4. I have no plans to buy a new console in 2021.

PS4 looks to have some life left in it so hopefully SDS will gave the PS4 crowd some nice incentives (particularity some new throwback uniforms). 20 on the PS4 is just simply awesome.

I bought the PS3 in 2009 (because of The Show 2009).



I got the PS4 at launch (and what a difference that launch was compared to this ridiculous ****show this year).



I have no need for a PS5 right now......at all. And to be honest if I do not see true cutting edge differences I may wait longer.



My hope is MLB 21 continues the fantastic gameplay of 20 and adds more franchise customization ala NBA 2K’s “My League”.

I'm doing the same thoughts. I'll stay with the Pro and mlb 21. Carry over my Indians franchise for the last year.
Also, unless I see significant changes to mlbts and ps5, I'll hold off

I really can't wait to get the PS5 and almost ordered it yesterday since Walmart had them in stock but I decided to wait to buy it until MLB The Show 21 comes out for it.

Plus by waiting to March or maybe even to May hopefully by then a lot of the bugs and other issues like fan noise will be fixed.

Besides I want the very first game I ever play on the PS5 to be MLB The Show 21

It's going to be a long 3 to 5 month wait though especially since I sold both my PS4's back in September

Will you be getting or hoping to get a PS5 to play 21 on next year? I personally will continue on with the PS4. Due to the lack of support for external drives for storage of PS4 games.

Also since they have not yet come out with any supported SSD expansion drives for the internal storage for PS5 games.

once they have worked out the issues with these issues I will be making the jump to the ps5 for this game. Seeing how it is the only game I play I am really in no rush to get the PS5 until these issues are addressed by Sony themselves.

Also, I use a headset (Plantronics Rigs) that must use the audio cable which the PS5 does not support anymore. So that is another issue I have with this.

So add that to my list of things I have to wait for (finding a new headset for gaming that I like).

So which direction will you be going? Or will you if it is found out that the series will in fact be launching on Xbox will you be jumping over the Xbox?

Can't wait to start getting Twitch streams about all the "new" features for franchise mode in 21'.

While it is true that they have come out with supported SSD Drives for internal storage for the PS5, I'm not sure what you mean about lack of support for external hard drives for PS4 games. I literally unplugged my USB external drive (1 Terabyte) from my PS4, plugged it into the PS5, and was able to play my PS4 games directly off of the external drive. 100% compatible, no issues at all.

As for the Plantronics Rigs headset, I use the Plantronics Rigs 500 headset with my PS5. Plugs right into the controller, works like a charm. I have a feeling you got some faulty/incorrect information about the headset and external drives.

I got a XSX so I'm hoping MLB The Show comes through in 2021. First time owning an Xbox since 2009 so I hope I made the right decision. If not I'll get it for the PS4 Pro [emoji3]

Definitely PS5 - hoping they've been working hard on this one for the first installment of next gen...

It's crazy to think that the PS4 Pro is considered last-gen lol

I was thankful enough to secure BOTH a PS5 & an XBOX Series X, so I'm looking forward to the next 7 years with these consoles

Let's see what SCEA can do with these powerhouse-systems in 2021!
