Does anyone think there will be difference in graphics between the previous Gen and next Gen Consoles?

There's information overload right now, so I may have missed it, but ....

If I start a franchise on the PS4 version of MLB 21 will I be able to continue that franchise on the PS5 when I upgrade later?

Well if you by history" PS2 to PS3 to PS4 I would say yes but sadly not as big of a face lift as most here really want

But I am still leaving out hope that this time things will be very different in a good way thanks to the amazing power of the PS5 and X Box Series X.

Seriously though how can anyone of us long timers of this great game not be very disappointed if we don't at the very least get 100% brand new Grass,Dirt and player models just to name a few things that really need updating!!!!

I think I said it earlier in this thread (or maybe one of the others about 21), but I'd be a little surprised if they went full radio silent until the first stream.

I'm not that sure if we will see the normal marketing videos--often times they release those along with their streams so even if we do get "Gamestop Mondays" (or whatever it was called) those probably wouldn't happen till March, but I think there's a decent chance we get a trailer of some sort some time in February

I don't know if this has been posted or not (so much discussion on various topics in different threads), but here is a brief overview of the new gameplay styles:

New to MLB The Show this year is gameplay styles alongside new gameplay onboarding tutorials to expand gameplay for all playstyles and skill levels.

Casual: An easier, fun, pick-up and play experience with an emphasis on learning the game.

Simulation: Authentic MLB experience that plays true to player and team ratings. A balance between stick skills and player attributes.

Competitive: User stick skills reign supreme, greater emphasis on user input over player ratings. Our new online H2H default.

Thank you for posting I had not seen that. I've always been a hybrid player, but heavily leaning towards simulation. Looks like that's what I'll be picking (If I get 21).

All of this is very intriguing. Along with improvements, I’m hoping they don’t remove any features from current offerings such as sounds of the show.

That happened in MLB 14 going from PS3 to PS4 cause PlayStation didn’t allow the PS4 to read mp3 files.I’m thinking this won’t be an issue but it’ll be certain come April.

That feature alone could be decisive in me going next gen or not. It just adds so much immersion to the game.
