two years ago the team hyped up franchise changes and it turns out all they did was change the UI to something really terrible and then tell us they worked really hard at it
they never intend to actually make updates/improvements to franchise mode, their cash cows are DD and RTTS and everything else is designed to send players to those modes. last year's "import custom teams to franchise" was so half-done that it was kind of sad, though i was very happy it made it at all.
even NHL, which is a tiny team and relies on HUT, has made major updates to franchise mode in the last two years and has built a pretty great foundation. I'm overall pretty disappointed at SDS's ability to improve the game the last few years. The gameplay is very good on the field but they don't really seemed interested in fixing anything but rather "revamping" fielding every year and throwing in some new UI to diamond dynasty.
i'm praying they give us at least generic stadiums for custom teams so i'm not stuck using a minor league park for my MLB custom team, for example, but don't expect them to do so.
