I dunno. If it’s true it might be really, really limited. Don’t know how possible it would be to manipulate things when collision detection is necessary.

As much as I would like to get excited about this.... by now I know better.

Honestly, I would just be happy with an actual relocation feature with about 4-6 preset stadiums to choose from. You don’t really need collision detection for the background, so if you can customize background like city scapes, stadium eccentricities I.e. big glove in SF or pool in Arizona, I would honestly be cool with that. But I feel like even that if being fairly optimistic

Wow! Great news if true hope they also offer carry over rosters or commit to franchise and or roster carry over in 2022. If so I'm good to put in the effort creating rosters in 2021.

I would even rather have 1 unique relocation stadium based on something unique like Tampa Bay was planning. If it's just a bunch of lego pieces from the way too similar stadiums in the game, I mostly won't even bother.

Could the main reason carry over saves were not in 21 is because they had to re-write the code so you could carry over your stadium and two way player into 22?

Think of it like this. Why would SDS create the custom team feature and not introduce create a stadium with it or soon after?

That would he begging people to rip them for having an incomplete feature. Dev teams not named EA don’t typically do that.

I love how unlike Facebook we have one topic on here where everyone can share their thoughts on that particular topic. Every other post on Facebook is about this stadium creator.

I hope I can make one of those artificial cookie-cutter ballparks such as Riverfront or the old Busch. And then really party like it's 1989! Now all they need to do is add fights so that I can relive that moment Frank DiPino threw at Mark Grace at Busch Stadium.

This is cool provided:

1. Ballparks can be shared in the vault
2. Ballparks can be assigned to MLB/MiLB teams and used in Franchise/RTTS
3. Templates/options allow for creation of realistic modern and classic stadia

I feel better about the first two than I do the third. I suspect it will take a few years to build up the assets and incorporate the kind of community feedback that can only be gathered once it's out in the wild.

I don't anticipate much more than what we get with Madden. Some very basic templates that we customize to some degree.

Even The Golf Club was weary of allowing users to customize actual courses like Augusta. Fortunately for golf, there are so many real courses that fly under the radar that not all can be flagged. In the past you could play Augusta as a user created course but it had to be named differently.

I'll need to be fact checked on this one because I haven't played in awhile due to my time but I believe once they were published by 2k they had to start pulling those well known courses due to licensing concerns.

I wouldn't expect to be able to create old stadiums that aren't already in the game. I expect a pretty simple, basic stadium creator.

(TO BE CLEAR: I am NOT complaining, even that is a welcome addition to me)

coulda done that in 20, relocate Tampa to Oakland Coliseum
but what would be great is if we could just blow the lid off the Trop and make it an open air park

In pga 2k22 you can play Augusta, pebble and at Andrew’s you just have to know how to find them. If there is a create a stadium in the show I doubt it will be any near the level of detail PGA 2k has

Thank you, so am I wrong in saying they’ve made it more difficult or is Augusta still playable as Magnolia? I thought I had read the gig was up on that one.
