I mean I play every pitch of every inning, but I can still appreciate the additions to the simming experience.
Quick manage taught me that. When it was announced I was all pissed off because hardcore franchise users were being ignored yet again. Yet it significantly improved my franchise experience, and you can now take it from my cold dead hands. I feel way more involved in my minors. Before they were all just names I constantly forgot down there.
I can also appreciate that not everyone wants to play every single pitch of every single game, but still wants to stay involved. I also get the appeal of being more excited about the future of a club then it's current state, and wanting to speed up time a little. You'll still want to get hands on that team eventually, but might want a less time intensive approach to begin with.
I don't think it's a black and white equation of either you play every pitch or you play OOTP. Besides, us hardcore franchise players should want franchise to be more accessible. The more accessible it is, the more people will play it, the more people play it, the more likely they'll actually give the mode some real, actual attention.
