I hope in Franchise, it's tied to income somehow. Like, if I'm the Pirates, if I happen to win a lot, it increases my budget, allowing me to add seats to a stadium, which in turn increases my budget some more.

That would definitely be cool, but I highly doubt it is tied to the financials in Franchise. I think it will be very similar to the "Rebranding" that was added last season

Hey right now my target date for a PS5 is Christmas. My wife knows I want one....and she is awesome.

As far as 21. If I get confirmation of roster imports still being functional for 21 on the PS4.....I am in. That will ease the sting of losing Y2Y knowing I can jam all the incredible rosters from 20 on 21.

And that means an included upgrade to the PS5 version of the game come Christmas time as I would get the Jackie Robinson Collectors Edition (physical PS4 copy which has the digital PS5 copy).

So let’s keep our fingers crossed for the roster import feature still being alive. That is make or break for me personally. I do not care about starting a current day franchise. Not enough for me to get 21.

And stadium creator looks really nice. Super happy for the folks that love and want that feature. But that is also not my personal deal maker.

Let's just pretend that 1% of last gen and 1% of current gen console owners buy the show this year...


last gen = 1.62 million copies would be sold.
new gen = 85,000 copies would be sold.


If those numbers were true and 1% of the owners bought the show this year, then only 5.25% of all sales would be on new gen.

As the other person that already showed you The Show historical data said, you have a complete misunderstanding of how game sales go when new systems launch. Miles Morales is selling over 50% on PS5. You shouldn't use numbers when you have such little knowledge of context.

I’m so excited for all the ballparks the community is going to create. Maybe you can chose to ditch a few minor league stadiums that come with the game to fill with user created ones to save space.

By the way I think this might also be a way for SDS not having to pay the license for classic stadiums anymore because now the community maybe just maaaaybe creates stadiums that look like their counterpart and there’s no more need for the official licensed versions to be in the game[emoji2958]

Once I get a PS5 and get around to getting the Show again I will be recreating a classic stadium I created way back in the day and can't wait to see how it plays.

In high School I had a game on my quality Tandy 1000 HX called Earl Weaver Baseball. Created a stadium in there where the foul lines were as deep as the game allowed with highest walls allowed which I think were 40 feet. Then Center Field was as close as allowed and 4 foot walls which were the smallest you could go.

Guys would hit stuff in the gap and get Inside the Park Home Runs. Super Weak hitters would hit straight away Home Runs. For my high school self it was pretty fun. Now it might be a pain in the butt but I still want to give it a look.

Beyond that not a feature I would use much but it's great they added this since so many people have been asking for it! Depending on how many you can make and transfer it will be great for historical seasons as well.

Octoshop is the extension on Chrome that I used. There's a video in the extension about how to set stock alerts. You can get the alert immediately and when you click on the notification it will take you straight to the product on the web page. It comes immediately though as long as you sign up for the immediate stock alerts when setting the options. But it will compare multiple stores. Like for the PS5 they have Target, BB, Amazon, Playstation Direct, Gamestop, and even other sites. They also have an app.

I got mine from Playstation Direct which really is luck of the draw because you are placed into a queue ahead of when they allow you to actually put the console in your cart. I wish every site would have done that. Gives everyone a chance, eliminates the bots (I'd assume), and you don't have to panic when going through the checkout procedures that they are going to disappear because you have a time limit to get all that done. Just happened to get lucky enough to only have a 3 minute wait when they released and I checked out in probably 4 minutes. And of note, I bought it on a Thursday and they had it shipped out on Friday. It was supposed to arrive on that Sunday but with the crap weather it was delayed. Still got to me on Monday (President's day). Pretty awesome how smooth the process was and well done by FedEx ha.

Just something I noticed:

It definitely looks like the stands are a placeable item, or they seem to be anyways. Worst case, they are height adjustable which leads me to believe they are also placeable. The height adjustment is great though, especially if we decide to have a "green monster" we can place seats on the level with the top of the wall. Instead of having people sit behind a fence and not be able to see anything. I wonder if the 2 or 3 tier outfield seats will also be height adjustable? They seem to be from some of the clips, but I wonder how much? Imagine 3 tier stands on top of a 40 ft wall. Would be interesting for sure.

I'm also curious if we'll be able to add logos in places or set certain spots that can have a logo for one of our sponsors when in franchise. I hope we can place things like that, at least for offline stuff. I can understand they wouldn't want that for online with potentially offensive or inappropriate things, but offline should be free game.

Even if we share a stadium, I think a way around it would be us being able to place sponsorship spots and then we can put custom logos once we're in franchise mode itself, and then can't share the stadium at the point? Or just lock it from being shared in general once a custom logo is placed anywhere in the stadium. Makes you wonder how all of that will work if that's possible.

All in all, I am just way too excited to be able to play around with this and make my HS field, 1966 Angels Stadium with the Big A in center, to some crazy stadium with weird dimensions. This is probably the most excited I've been for The Show in a very long time.

Pair this with proper expansion and possibly even re-alignment or even change how many teams there are (like if I want to make the 12 team NPB for instance), it would basically take my excitement to the moon. I won't expect that, but I can dream right?

Edit: just realized I could potentially make Koshien Stadium in Japan if all dirt infields are an option
