Two questions:

1) It was mentioned at the end of the stream that improvement/work went into bunting this year. Can you elaborate as to what improvements/changes were implemented this year? Has rocket bunting been addressed at all?

2) Again, at the end of the stream, baserunning was mentioned as being improved but not expanded upon. Can you elaborate as to what was changed/improved in terms of baserunning? Did the team address community issues with auto baserunning?

So does the change to check swings being based only on user input apply to directional batting as well, since directional otherwise relies on attributes as well as user input.

Appreciated Victor! Here are a couple of items:

1. Since we have a dedicated "simulation" mode; is it possible to have HR/9 added back into having an in-game impact (as it did in 19)? Comp/Casual modes can continue to go without the influence there (I'm assuming this is all still the case). This was pretty obviously a change in MLB20 that was made for those audiences in-mind, not necessarily for those who want(ed) a more simulation-oriented play style.

2. Lots of concern about the exclusion of the discipline rating for simulation mode as it pertains to check-swings. For offline modes (especially franchise), player ratings need to be maximized, otherwise, the team building piece becomes diluted. I understand that it was felt that the current formula is too generous. However, I wonder how much of that is due to the use of extremely high discipline players in online modes. How does the data trend for a more typical franchise environment and does that data suggest a similar concern about the discipline impacts for a "franchise normal" environment (i.e. with average discipline ratings being in the 60s)? If not, would it not make more sense to remove the discipline rating's impact for Casual/Comp and keep it in the game for Simulation?

3. Has the simulation mode had any additional gameplay balancing to make it "more sim" than in past years?

4. This may be out-of-scope, but was any tuning done to hot zones this year? The base rosters had a ton of players with bright red hot zones and combined with the perfect-perfect system, lead to a ton of HRs (particularly for offline). I personally felt that MLB 19 did a better job in regards to the hot zone mix across the roster as a whole.

Piggybacking off Josh's question 1 (those are all great questions btw!), I'm curious about how exactly the casual, sim, and competitive styles modify the game differently, and what makes each unique. For example in Madden, the Competitive style uses rating thresholds, and players who are above those thresholds in specific ratings can produce guaranteed results in the right conditions (always catching passes, able to make 100% accurate throws up to a certain distance, etc). To my knowledge the Madden sim style doesn't, which means dice rolls are still in play from ratings 1-99 and outcomes are not guaranteed. My hope is that Sim style in the Show does not use thresholds like this and that the entire rating scale is still used.

Probably won't be answered right now. But if we get a chance after the fielding stream next Thursday, I would re-ask those last two questions at that time.

Is the "Classic" hitting and pitch interfaces still in the MLBTS21 game? I don't believe it was mentioned in yesterday's "pinpoint" pitching stream (while some of the other interfaces were mentioned).

Will the offline AI generate more offense and capabilities to hit in men on base situations? Even on legendary pitching with sliders skewed to favor the AI they seem incapable of scoring runs on anything other than homeruns. Even then it is still maybe 2-3 runs per game.

Hey Victor thanks for starting this thread!

Got two short questions:

1. Had the PAR always been the largest/least accurate on Analog Pitching, or was that changed this year to differentiate it from Pinpoint Pitching? I had always been under the impression (perhaps incorrectly) that Analog gave you the most control over your location as you sort of had some control over where you missed depending on your input.

2. I like the addition of the PAR, but will there be an option to turn it off without turning the ball marker off? Would be nice for those who like a "clean(er) screen" look to have that option.

Thank you for reaching out for feedback. I agree with JoshC's questions about the ratings on Sim Mode. I feel that the ratings should matter in Sim Mode only on checked swings. What would the AI go by for check swings? Or would that be a dice roll?
