Finally got to see it, that's nice. And....is that Showtrack in a non-MLB Network theme? That'd be new...although I won't hold my breath on that because the one other time I saw an example of this was in a Show pre-release stream - then it got cut from the other themes for the actual release.

It's actually not, but that's a good catch regardless. Some may know and some may not, but the Showtrack-displayed runner top speeds were in '20 and the years before too, occasionally on successful stolen base attempts. And, at least from what I could tell they were always slow on default sliders (and yes, the displayed speeds DID change when you moved the baserunner speed slider).

So, what we have here is Tapia running at 28.2 feet per second, which is identical to his 2020 sprint speed measured in Statcast (https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savan...-r-running-mlb). So, they may have done a once-over on baserunner speeds along with the pop time work to get those right.

So does my 1st baseman actually cover first base on shallow hit balls in right, with a 3 speed pitcher trying to leg it out now or is that to sim.

This is looking fantastic as far as on field gameplay goes. Please please please shock us with franchise updates.
There's always gonna be someone unhappy. Not naming any names, but we know who is never happy no matter what they do.

Sorry that they don't make the game specifically for you. (meaning the people who do nothing but complain)

Nice to see Grady as a legend. If he didn't have injury issues he would have been on a very high level of players.

Funny story about Grady. I was at an Indians game way back when he was playing and these two girls had a sign that said "Grady, 3some?"

He definitely saw it and the girls were hot.

Being a Tigers fan I always had a dislike for Sizemore bc he was such a great player and he'd kill us. The one thing I do remember is Curtis Granderson robbing him of a walk off home run off of Verlander. Twas a glorious moment [emoji16]

Grady Sizemore had four decent yrs but hardly what I would call a "legend".

As an Indians fan, I have to admit it's a bit of a reach. But he was one of the best outfielders in the game when he wasn't hurt.

He definitely had the skill to be a legend, injuries suck.

I saw the quick clip of Am Fam Field (Miller Park), they still have the huge dirt circle around home plate that extends like half way to pitchers mound.

UGH!!!! I was hoping that was fixed... Its the only field like that with a major error.

Hopefully it will be fixed for release.

Man this looks great! Fielding gets more fun and rewarding every year but this year especially seems like a giant leap. Well done!

The diving catch and jumping catch (not HR rob jumping, just regular jumping catch) have always been an incredible disappointment.

When playing with auto defence how do risk/ reward plays play out? Will the CPU always play it safe without user input? What situation or ratings would dictate the fielders going for it? Or is it just random?

Yes, it was captured on next-gen, but the stream isn't available in 4k, 1080p60 at best. So we still have to wait to judge the graphics.

So we have had presentations now on hitting, pitching and fielding. That pretty much covers everything EXCEPT baserunning, the part of the game that frustrates me the most. Nothing is more frustrating than to have the hitter get a solid hit to the outfield only to see your baserunner run back to first base even with two out! Even hitting the advance all button quickly does not make up the loss from heading the wrong direction.

I hope baserunning will be addressed in a future presentation.

Not every legend has to be a 99 overall. He could be very good for the early game before the 99s come.
