Franchise. The only way I play. Going to try a new team this year. Pretty much just been playing with the Red Sox or cardinals for years now. I’d like to play with a team that has potential and see if I can’t surprise myself. Thinking maybe the marlins, or giant’s. I’ve been just kind of fooling around with teams for the last couple of weeks waiting for the 21 rosters to drop for the 20 version of the game. It’s going to be the first year I don’t buy the new game (at least that’s what I keep telling myself) I’ve decided I’m going to use the 21 rosters by Mavsfan and Josh C’s sliders again.

- Exhibition game at Kauffman Stadium
- Fly around Kauffman and check whether any of the updates I've posted were picked up this year.
- Get to work correcting accessories for the Royals (especially since we'll have a month of regular season under our belts)

Re: What are your plans for 21?
I recently started Grad School so along with my 9-5 gig my MLB The Show time will be severely limited compared to every other year.
My plan is to still do my 30 Team Control franchise and play all 162 with the Mets. I will also be doing a daily Player Lock or Full Game with a random team to stay involved in the rest of the league.
In MLBTS 20 I did a player lock & random game for each day of the season. In MLBTS21 I will likely alternate days while playing 162 with the Mets.
I got lucky and scored a PS5 last month so I am really looking forward to the stadium creator. It might be the feature I’ve ever looked most forward to in this games history. The possibilities seem endless and I cannot wait to make some awesome looking themed parks for roster building (speed & defense vs power hitting teams) and rebranding purposes (team name and city themes)
For RTTS I could not get into it last season, the amount of on screen pop ups during the game for every pitch/hit/play was a real eye sore. I also do not like the teammate interaction system. In years past my 2 most successful RTTS have been Left Handed hitting Catcher and Right Handed Hitting 3B. This year I will either do Switch Hitting CF or a Left Handed Hitting 1B/LF. Depending on how the on screen pop ups are and the progression system.
With the limited time it looks like DD will not be a focus this year. It has been for me in recent years (declining each year) but the frustration that comes with playing online is too much for me. I’d rather sit and relax and play at my own speed and enjoy it. Rather than deal with someone else and the annoyance of online play.Comment

Re: What are your plans for 21?
Full 30 team control franchise. Controlling my Minnesota Twins for all 162 games.
I am going to mimic real life with each starting pitcher and starting lineup, injury, and transaction until I catch up to the real MLB season. Then go from there. Not sure how to approach the Nationals covid situation"Friends dont let friends be packer fans"Comment

First of all, I am going to turn that s.o.b. sideways and open it! Shout out to Stone Cold Steve Austin. Seriously get myself acquaintine with the Xbox-X Controller playing a few exhibition games with my Braves, before diving deep into my Braves franchise.Comment

Re: What are your plans for 21?
I pre-ordered the Jackie edition on PS5 so I'll be firing up that bad boy at 11 pm central on the 15th. I have a yearly tradition of kicking off with a Braves/Mets exhibition game. After that I'm gonna mess around in stadium creator and that'll probably be it for day one. Down the line, I'll be starting a serious franchise. I've narrowed the choices down to the Rays, A's, and D-Backs. Whoever I choose will be getting a new stadium and I can't wait to build it. I've been longing for a stadium creator in a baseball game since MVP 05, and that one was pretty bare bones from what I remember. This is going to be one of the longest weeks of my life lol.Braves | Titans | VolunteersComment

Re: What are your plans for 21?
Probably going to spend hours on the stadium builder to play around. Then play in whatever I make. Then make my RTTS player. Then probably build more stadiums. I'm so excited to try it out.R.I.P. Rory Markas, Nick Adenhart and Tyler Skaggs

Re: What are your plans for 21?
As a die hard Cubs fan of course i'm going to start with them and see how I want to deal with our expiring core ( Rizzo, Bryant, Baez). Also I'm a sucker for rebuilding teams in all sports games so i'm thinking about either the Orioles or the Mariners. Super pumped for the game.Comment

Re: What are your plans for 21?
First thing Im doing is looking over the rosters then checking out stances and deliveries.
I just love seeing what they added and updated for some reason.

I agree. This is one of the biggest things for me is what new equipment, stances etc have been added. This is always the first thing I do for any sports games that have certain equipment, shoes/cleats etc.Comment

Re: What are your plans for 21?
I'm not going to buy the game this year. I didn't buy it in 2019, and then last year I did, and am still satisfied with it. I have no idea when I'll be able to get a PS5, but I wasn't going to buy this year's version until I did regardless. But now reading all of the things about what will and won't be in this year's version, I'll be waiting until at least a year from now before I get another one.Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.Comment

Re: What are your plans for 21?
1. I plan to spend some time with the stadium creator and see if I can recreate a few older parks with any type of accuracy. (Arlington Stadium, Wrigley before lights, Tiger Stadium, and Oakland before Mt. Davis)
2. I plan to sim a few seasons in Franchise Mode to get a feel for Franchise Mode and the new roster setup/menus.
3. I plan to do a Franchise with the Cubs and Rangers.
4. I’m plan to only collect 80 or above cards or any card that may be useful in Franchise Mode.
5. I plan to not spend anytime editing players or restarting a franchise due to slider adjustments or roster updates. (Can I really stick to number 5?) I’m going to try. LolComment

Re: What are your plans for 21?
Excited to see some of the equipment updates as well. We know 44 and G-Force are in the game from the Franchise video, but still haven't seen any screen shots of them in game.
As for my plans, I preordered the Standard edition for PS5, I will likely end up grinding some offline DD stuff until the community releases some solid rosters for Franchise. I will definitely be messing around with the Stadium creator as well. I know some were upset that the Feature Premier didn't highlight many "next-gen" upgrades other than SC, but I still came away very impressed with that feature.Chicago Cubs
