Never used them before. Was actually planning on using them this year ironically, but without them being in the game and franchise mode likely receiving little attention, I doubt I'll buy 21 unless I cave on a sale.

I hope rosters can be carried over still, but I doubt it. Those are more important to me as I've become more and more one who just enjoys a play now game with classic rosters.

I really hope they bring this feature back in 22, without it, this game feels really empty. What is the fun of playing just one, maybe two seasons between releases? for me.. it isn't 'fun... it is almost a waste of time...

I'll go one step further than 22:
I'm really hoping Sony figures out a way to patch this into 21 by mid-summer

did I use it? had a Braves carry-over from 14-20

did I not? from 14-20, played season only with that years roster release with the Orioles, White Sox, sometimes Oakland or Seattle, sometimes Colorado or Arizona, sometimes Cincinnati or Pittsburgh

did I never care about? you can tell from the above I mostly didn't use it but it only takes 1 file to make carry-over so great

There's a VERY strong possibility that I won't even touch franchise mode in MLBTS21 until we know that Y2Y saves are coming back in 22. They have yet to announce any changes to this year's game that make me want to start over, particularly with Y2Y saves being in a "lame duck" state.

I'll continue enjoying my franchise on MLBTS20 in the meantime.

FWIW to the OP...the devs acknowledged that they understand and know the popularity of the feature within the community.

I do believe it will be back, just don't know that it will be '22.

did you never care about it..? I understand the importance it has to roster creators to be able import players/rosters so I would like to see it back in 22. But personally, I play my 2 or 3 franchise seasons and start a new one once the next years game comes out.

Me personally, I used it maybe like, once when they first introduced it and that was it. I'm the type who starts a new RTTS and Franchise each year because I like to keep with the moves in the MLB. Doesnt help that I usually don't get more than 3 or 4 years into RTTS and not very far in franchise either.

That said, I hope (and figure) that they'll bring it back next year because there are many who use it.

I've never used it but i understand its very useful for those that have invested in to a lengthy franchise. I hope its brought back very soon.

It sucks for the people who did use it every year, and hopefully they can bring this feature back next year for you guys

Never used it, but since I've gotten into fictional roster , I thought about trying it out. Then they announced it was removed for 21.

Maybe if people with Twitter accts tweeted MlbTheShow, Ramone, and any other devs and ask them if in Thursdays Franchise stream they could address Y2Y saves being removed and any chance of it returning in future versions. ??

No harm in asking, right?

Actually...there CAN be harm in asking if done inappropriately. Spamming accounts (like those kids that constantly spam about online franchise in every Twitter posted by SDS) can be incredibly obnoxious and can be a really bad look for the community. And frankly, for anyone hoping for a Madden-like Twitter trend that causes SDS to act; I don't see it. The Madden movement for franchise had the support of a TON of non-OS types (because of how strong the online franchise community is) and even many of the comp guys used their followers to assist. That is what really got it viral...it isn't going to happen for this game.

The other reality is that they've probably already filmed the feature premiere. It wouldn't help for tomorrow anyways. (I DO miss the Live streams....)

Here's the final piece...they may not KNOW if it is possible yet. They may be dealing with technical issues (which could even tie into their development plans for next year's game).

A much 'better' approach IMO is to be more subtle with the feedback Some folks have direct ties to SDS and may be able to relay our concern (I do think that SDS does monitor things here and their devs have been known to quietly pop-into streams to gather feedback). The OTHER option is for all of us to use the 'provide feedback' page on the SDS site once the game launches if we still don't know.

this is really what I hope is going on; plenty of testing, seeing what works, what doesn't. test, test, test. and when they think they're done, test some more. there's nothing worse than putting something in the game that doesn't quite mesh right. Morale, real contracts. maybe a couple more
