Re: Please bring back Y2Y saves for 22!!!!

With Y2Y, do players who have received new face scans for the new game get their face scans when using Y2Y, or are they stuck with whatever they had in the origin roster? I.e., if I'm using a 2020 roster which has non-scanned minor leaguers and some of them now have face scans in 2021, would the carry over to the new game include their new face scans, or no?

I've never used Y2Y because I play every game and have yet to ever finish a season.

There is no Y2Y saves for MLBTS 21.

But...if you were going from MLB19 to MLB20, then scanned faces will carryover. Players without scanned faces in the previous years would NOT get them in the next year's game.

Also, if a player had retired and is no longer in the game; his name/likeness would be randomly re-rolled in the franchise (but his ratings/stats would be intact)
Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.

I'll continue enjoying my franchise on MLBTS20 in the meantime.

MLB 21 is a no buy for me until I hear if Y2Y is coming back in '22. Y2Y was the only reason i bought every title from 14 thru 20. Before that the show was on an every 3 to 4 year cycle for me because I only play franchise and for baseball I only play 162 and want multiple years. It really is that simple for me.

So a RTTS player I create in MLB 21 won't be able to get used in MLB 22? Why in the world did they remove that feature? I've had my current RTTS since MLB 18.

We do not know yet if you can carryover a RTTS/Franchise from '21 to '22.

Only thing known for sure right now is that RTTS/Franchise saves will not transfer from '20 to '21.

No reason has been given by SDS as to why the feature was removed. Hoping they address it tomorrow during the MTO/Franchise stream.

Re: Please bring back Y2Y saves for 22!!!!

Here is the thing folks, even if you had a carry over from 14-20 thats where it ends. By a leap year lol (feature not on 21) when 22 comes back with it and a big IF you still will not be able to get those long carry overs to 22 with the missing year in between.

The same goes for the CPU control import trick to get players from 1 game to the next.

Without 21 having it you can't move anything from 20 to 22 etc your going to need 21 to have the feature so your gonna half to come with terms your gonna hit a dead end regardless eventually going to half to bite the bullet and START OVER.

Trust me I get it 100% first it was removal of low camera angle, season mode, online franchise, full broadcast presentation and now YEAR2YEAR saves.

In my personal opinion PS4 version will still have the import work around and possibly the load up option of 2020 for roster and franchise in main menu, but on PS5 and xbox you will not.

I will be testing out my own theory and work around April 16th that might save us all as far as roster tricks go.

As far as roster importing. We still don't know as you said. It was just there in 20 and never really announced as a feature. So if 90 man roster stay, and they will, there is a small chance for that.

But as far as carryover for the ps4 version only. Not gonna happen. They said it is gone. Assuming part of it has to do with the changes to RTTS, they did not create a ps4 version of RTTS then a version for the rest. It is just one version.

I maintain that the budget changes as well as the fact they aren't allowing carry over for RTTS because of attribute changes and how they work in the mode are the reasons it is gonna across the board. Plus maybe going to xbox having a small role in that.

They also said in one of their blogs or whatever that they do not know when it is coming back but that it is a popular feature. Because of this I think it is too soon to definitively state it's return for 22 (unless I am misunderstanding your statement as a want not a definite.)

                  ------

I want y2y to return as much as anyone else that does. I will start playing my 21 franchise and if it returns, cool, and if not I will stick with 21.

SDS said they know the community wants it back. I hope they can bring it back but I understand it will take time to get it right. I would rather wait and have it right than have them rush it and it not work correctly or as intended.

Re: Please bring back Y2Y saves for 22!!!!

Your correct it could be 2025 before it returns.

It would be time consuming but guys could make there own "manual" carry over. Would take time on each person's franchise kinda like the time invested in sounds of the show.

But why couldn't a person buy 21 right? Then edit there players and ratings etc etc into what there 2020 carry over franchise is at that point? Turn it into that same carry over but on 21 and continue it from there until one day y2y makes it back.

I know, I know a lot of editing.

It's a LOT of editing no matter what...and totally untenable for those of us that don't use current year franchises with "real" players (i.e. fictional/historic rosters).

Understandable and if import and export worked u could at least move your fictional to 21 and old skool rosters the old way of ps3 days.

That can certainly be a way but not a practical way for most users. Most users just want to download a roster or use the default and play.

For me, I finished 2027 on my Indians franchise and it would be months of recreating that roster. Not a bad idea in principle but impractical.

Anyway, we can still hold out hope for roster importing.

I'm still convinced we will be able to port rosters, since no ratings have been added.

I care more about getting an external roster editor than I do about losing this feature.

This game won't reach its true potential until we have something better to work with. Its absurd that we have to create/edit one player at a time. Why not just send me back to 1988 with Commodore 64 or Oregon Trail?!
