Re: MLB The Show 21 Feature Premiere Starting Soon - March to October & Franchise Mod
Edit: looked at the video again (on YouTube, around the 32 minute mark), and they showed the assignments thing on April 1st. So not the off season. So it looks like an at any time type thing. Also, looks like you can change any teams stadium at any time for that matter. Unless they had 30 team control or something on, but looks like we're in control of that without having to control all teams. Which is nice.Last edited by douggoud; 04-01-2021, 08:48 PM.R.I.P. I wonder if this will integrate into online franchise. get losing it for a few years, to only bring back a simple online “season”, I’d love to see online franchise come back. The league I’m in is full and has a 30 person waiting list.Comment

I just hope you can adjust season/inning length in Franchise mode. Since they removed season mode in The Show 18, I’ve never been able to finish a season. 162, 9 inning games is too long for me.

I hope contracts were tuned to be to scale with real contracts. If that was done with all the logic changes I'll be pretty happy for this year.
Hopefully the trade logic improvements pay off. I'm hoping some legacy bugs are addressed as well. Those wouldn't be selling points, like playoff rosters.
The Lindor contract makes me a little nervous though.
Also looking frame by frame Trevor Story was offered 6 years 65 million. Doesn't look like much of a difference in value changes. Contracts still look undervalued by what Is shown.
Also see more of Young star players traded while making minimum. I didn't see any trades of vets for minor leaguers in July.

Yeah I know. That’s why I loved season mode so much. I never understood why they replaced Season mode with MTO. I don’t like to simulate games, I like to play every pitch, at bat of my seasons. All I play is season/franchise mode, no RTTS, no diamond dynasty. From a programming standpoint, it seems like a simple option to add to give people the option to choose length. We’ll see. I’m still excited. I was watching opening day games today wishing I had The Show to play. Didn’t The Show use to come out before opening day?

While it is disappointing to have to end my ongoing franchise due to Y2Y saves being gone, I'm excited for the changes made this year and that this was the foundation to build upon in the future.
I know that there isn't really anything "sexy" about the changes made to franchise mode, but these changes were sorely needed within the mode and I'm excited for them.
The depth chart, the trade and player metric, minor league player stats, budget overhaul, and a foundation to build in the future, sign me up.
Quality of life update to franchise mode along with the fielding changes mentioned previously, and I'm anxiously awaiting April 16th.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Meh.. not a fan of the new UI. Nice new additions, but most of the stuff we see in franchise mode is already there. Also, no mention of interleague schedules changing year to year. I'll stick to OOTP 2022 for my baseball fix. Thanks.Comment

I love this time of the year ... I love the changes, I love that I scored a Ps5, I love that the Jackie Robinson edition is coming out for my bday and in annual tradition ... took the day off ... we came from boxes on screen hitting a white dot to this ... I’m grateful and kid excited every stinking year. Keep putting the game out guys I will gladly give you my $100

This may have been answered already in another video but I have not been able to watch most of them yet. Are any of the new rules in for '21?In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012

The runner on 2nd in extra innings rule is in the game, but prior to the game (at least in the Tech Test) you turn this rule on/off.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
