I kinda throw the "It's a SIE game" out the window since this actually happened...you don't really see MS add a game for 1 month, i think that would anger people more than be beneficial. I dunno though, just shocked this even happened, but i can always rebuy on sale later if i have to.

I'm probably just speaking out of my butt on this so you guys are probably correct. I haven't used Game Pass since 'Sea of Thieves' released so I'm a little out of the loop lol.

I also don't know why people would be angry to get to play a game for essentially free for a month before having to buy it though, but who knows (I'm assuming a majority of XBox users have Game Pass at this point). Gamers are always finding something to be upset about.

Happy for XBox owners! Game Pass is becoming a great value.

As someone who has a PS5 and a Series S, I have a (good, pretty minor) dilemma: do I enjoy my free copy of The Show on Xbox and potentially get locked into that platform for years if year to year franchise saves come back, or buy a full price game on a different platform like a dweeb?

As someone who has a PS5 and a Series S, I have a (good, pretty minor) dilemma: do I enjoy my free copy of The Show on Xbox and potentially get locked into that platform for years if year to year franchise saves come back, or buy a full price game on a different platform like a dweeb?

I'd go PS5 honestly, especially if you plan on using year to year saves or are planning on getting a 4k TV in the future (or already have one). I wouldn't assume that The Show is going to be on Game Pass every single year.

If you had a Series X I'd be giving you a different answer though.

The only way I'd recommend getting the game for the S is if you're one of those super competitive Show players who bought a fancy 1440p monitor. Series S can only display 1440p max so that's why I'm bringing this up.

Question, do we know for sure we will get the series x/s edition of mlb the show 21 or if it’s just the last gen Xbox one edition. Only asking because nba 2k 21 last Gen is on game pass but the series x/s is not. I have the 84.99 series x/s edition pre ordered and I will cancel and wait the 4 days, tho the wait is gunna hurt.

now, im really eager to find out what are the differences between the next gen and old gen version (besides 4k60fps and stadium creator) really hope there are more considerable diferences such as more animations and better lightining, textures, physics (cloth, hair, etc)

Thanks for the quick reply. I also hope there is more of different btw last abs current gen then just resolution/frames and stadium creator. Just canceled my pre order, this saved me like 92 bucks after tax. If they would allow us to buy whatever the special edition gives u as dlc and then we could play it on the 16th would be amazing but I’m getting greedy and it’s not gunna happen.

This is amazing. Just canceled my X version preorder. Game pass is the best thing to happen to gaming since Xbox live was first introduced.

If I had a dollar for every time I saw an XBox user complain that the Show was a PS exclusive the past 10 years I could have bought San Diego Studios by now.

So don't come at some PS users who are annoyed a game they've been paying full price for for the last decade is suddenly a $15 launch title on Xbox for a period of time.

Its more of a $15 rental. Gamepass doesn't give you the game forever and this title likely won't be on there for even the entire length of the season.

It is rather annoying as a PS player to pay full price while Xbox users get it as one of many games on GamePass.

That being said, if it is a limited time deal then I could see it being a decent decision. Get players hooked on Diamond Dynasty, let them build up a team and then the game gets removed from Game Pass 3 or 6 months down the line. How many of those players then will then turn around and buy it so that they don't lose the team they built up? It's like a drug pusher. The first taste is free.

I’m also pondering as I have a PS5 and Series S. I’m leaning PS5. I’m a stickler for playing a game on the first system I played it on. For example if won’t play Resident Evil on any system but PS.

This has nothing to do with Sony as they do not publish the game for Xbox.

MLB owns the only important thing which is the license. They forced Sony to make it on Xbox as well but MLB would be publishing the game on the xbox console.

So for Game Pass, MS paid MLB to get the game on their GP and Sony gets a cut of xbox copies sold but not GP subscriptions.

The 2 bad looks for Sony at this point is

If MS puts it on GP why can't sony put it on PS Plus

And Game Pass gives you the xbox and series x versions so last gen and next gen versions

Sony is charging you 90 to get the ps4 and ps5 versions or 60 for ps4 and 70 for the ps5 version. That to me is criminal

To play mlb 21 i have to either pay 70 plus tax for the 20th or 85 plus tax 4 days early.

Don’t forget a lot of people buy a ****load of stubs so the micro transactions on the Xbox side will pretty much overcome the pre-orders cancellations by plenty.
