The only bummer for me is I just want it on PC! I don't have an XSX and have no interest, but I have GamePass on PC and it's delightful.

For real lol maybe next year, if you have a gaming PC there is no point for me own an XSX.

Just insane news. I wonder how much MS paid, but also I wonder if SDS sort of was into it just for this first year to make sure the net is cast wide and far so it's an easier sell to folks when it's maybe not on GP next year.

Hard to see MS not having the game next year on Game Pass. If they start to put things there for a year and remove it, people will not subscribe long term...This is just the start

What I think PS users have to remember is that, while yes you're going to pay far more for the Show than the Xbox user likely will this year, Sony had the only baseball game for the better part of a decade and no one was sympathizing with an Xbox user. Let's also not forget that, since this is the 1st time the Show is on Xbox, thats likely why its on gamepass to begin with, so I highly doubt next years game will also be on gamepass. It's really not the end of the world for 1 year when you were running unopposed for nearly 10 lol

As long as MLB publishes the xbox copy, Sony has no say if it can be on Game Pass next year which I fully expect it to be as MS wants all major sports titles there day 1 on Game Pass soon enough

My fear is, does this de-incentivize Sony from investing in the Show? You made an excellent point about MLB publishing the XBox version. Didn't realize that was the case, but that points to MLB pulling a power play.

Yea but how many Playstation 3’s and 4’s did mlb the show alone sell. I mean i know a bunch of us bought playstations over the year just for the show. I have the ps5 and the show preordered and dont own a xbox series x/s so not spending $400 plus to get the show free lol, but if this is the trend for gamepass (they also have outriders for free day 1 that just released) and xbox starts providing Multiple AAA titles a month , i will definitely get an xbox when they are easily available and might drop my loyalty to playstation these past 10 years. Also this is gonna kill physical disc sales this gen for places like gamestop.

I bought my first PS ever (Ps3) specifically for the Show. It opened me up to many other Sony franchises, but the Show definitely moved some systems.

I have both next gen systems, but no matter what system you own you cant deny microsoft has been delivering as of late. Crazy.

This is good news for gamers. My only question with the game pass version is does this mean I can play it on PC or will it be console gamepass exclusive. If its the former... boy oh boy... Xbox you'll have another Gamepass ultimate user for sure!

Xbox and Cloud, but Cloud is coming to PC sometime this spring according to MS.

That still doesn't quite answer my question since Game pass is also on PC. It's just that not all games on Console Game pass made it to PC. Unless I'm understanding you wrong.

If it is possible to play The Show on PC this year it will be through the Cloud feature of GamePass. It won't be something that is downloadable in the GamePass Library for you to play locally on your PC since it isn't a PC game. You'll have to have GamePass Ultimate and stream the game via the Cloud to play it.

So I got the Series X because I'm heavily invested in the ecosystem, and I literally only had a PS4 for The Show. I was hoping it would be on Xbox this year, but shortly before it was announced I started getting nervous it wouldn't be so I got the opportunity to get a PS5 and I couldn't turn it down just to be safe. Of course days later it's announced for Xbox.

Now I have another choice to make. I almost pre-ordered it on PS5 last night because I wanted to see how it would make use of the Duel Sense. Something stopped me at the last minute. I planned on buying the Jackie Robinson edition so I could play four days early. Which I always do that every year.

So now what do I do? For me it's gonna kill me waiting an extra four days. But is four days worth paying $85 when I can wait four days and get it essentially for free?

I know, first world problem.

Is there anything that would prevent Microsoft from yanking the game in a month or two so you'd have to buy the game anyways?
