Re: MLB The Show 21 Coming to Xbox Game Pass on April 20
Their first party studio did develop the game. They did sign a contract but they could have at least held off by like a month or so.
If not at least put the game on PS+ or PSnow. If Xbox is putting it on gamepass.Last edited by zello144; 04-03-2021, 04:42 AM.Comment

If this is always on Gamepass, I will sell my PS5 and stick with XBOX exclusively.
I am a sports gamer only for the most part.

Yeah. Not gonna lie, I’m pretty sour as a PS5 owner that Xbox gets this for free. I’m not planning to buy this game on release day, but if it was available to play for free I could give it a shot and maybe change my mind..

Re: MLB The Show 21 Coming to Xbox Game Pass on April 20
From my understanding game pass games are there, thats why its a library of backwards compatibility, xbox is very good, im contemplating myself, do I just keep my ps4 pro, and skip ps5, and try to get the xbox.
The exclusives on sony are great but I only played the uncharted and some of god of War, my main reason for a playstation was the show and gran turismo. I miss games like forza, halo, gears of war.
Lately to i have not being liking the moves being done by Sony, I mean they started by shrinking the consoles servers from ps3, they never really made backwards compatibility work from there ps2/3 work in 4, offering. Ps now attempt at backwards compatibility truly is not worth it.
They add games in there and then remove them in a couple months, I could see trying to save on server cost on older consoles but they also shrunk the free games with plus down and until recently started to kinda have decent month to month releases, for the psn subscribers a month.
There currently closing the community servers this month I believe, so community's will be gone to.
All in all I see sony price grabbing and I see xbox saying where truly here for the people, besthesda just recently left sony to join xbox and bringing all there titles to xbox day 1 on xbox pass.
So now the show is on xbox and as I said xbox has not only there backwards compatibility working but at a seriously reasonable price. And there making it free, things are looking kinda suspect from Sony.
I'm aware you could purchase a computer and run most of this on there, that also speaks volumes in it self as to how far Microsoft has come, they not messing around, I dont have the money to build a solid gaming computer at 1800- 2500 dollars im fortunate enough to even have a console, so im trying to make the best possible choice for myself and weigh the options.
To each there own, im not trying to start a war. But for myself, I have a warranty on my current system covering my unit until this December, I may very well just let it go, keep my ps4 save up and go with xbox. I definitely wasn't purchasing the show on current 4 anyway and now I see this, its probably a wrap for me and sony.
I wasn't that impressed with what I saw in sonys upcoming ps5 titles and outside of gran turismo 7 the rest was kinda like ok, the graphics look good but is that something ima play? Probably not.
Another rumor possibly is still down the line a little bit, but ive also heard was once ps5 really kicks off, they could be shutting support off of the 4 just like they did the 3. That remains to be seen, for this generation but its already been proven in the past and yet Microsoft steady adding on and steady building.Last edited by StormsWarning; 04-03-2021, 07:58 AM.I stream a variety of video games for relaxation and fun.

I'm not disappointed. if it is indeed unsustainable, all Sony needs to do is sit back and watch it fail. but personally I think it's a good business move. these games aren't up there permanently and what gamepassers are doing is renting. and not even renting to own. and both of those aren't the wisest decision in the long run as a consumer IMO
You'd think I could install it since its on my cloud with dlc I payed for but noped, you can see the dlc but not the game, the only way to even play it now is by having a disc version.
Both services are renting when it comes to digital, but I believe xbox side is the more grounded of the two. I signed into my profile just to see from years back and there's still titles up there to be downloaded and played, you don't get with sony.I stream a variety of video games for relaxation and fun.

Re: MLB The Show 21 Coming to Xbox Game Pass on April 20
So I preordered my copy of the Show using some reward gift certificates from Best Buy. This news kind of bummed me out because I didn't think I could cancel my order and get those rewards back. Then I found this ...
"If I return an item where reward certificates were used, do I get them back?
Yes. If you made a purchase using reward certificates and your order is returned or canceled, we will refund the points to your My Best Buy account within 3–6 business days."
Anyone else have experience with canceling a Best Buy order and getting their rewards points back? After more than eight years on here, I finally figured out how to edit my time zone!Comment

Re: Mlb The Show 21 Launching on Gamepass
The source for this guess is me. The guess is being made because I don't expect the title to be there for the entire season. Plenty of games come and go from GamePass after a limited time and this seems like one of those titles to me.
If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but I'll be wrong and getting to play the game for "free" all season which is a nice deal.

Re: MLB The Show 21 Coming to Xbox Game Pass on April 20
I recently was able to purchased and Xbox X because it was so hard for me to land a PS5 without paying over the retail value.
First, PS Studios made the best baseball title available for Microsoft and now because I purchased a GameStop bundle with a Xbox Game Pass 3 mnth ult. mbrship. I will be playing my favorite baseball game of all time, on a new system that I settled on for free at least for 3months!Comment

don't people pay to use gamepass? nothing is free, my friend. and gamepassers are missing out on a lot of stuff, like actually owning anything, or early release or any other goodies that can come with a purchase.
and that may be a fair trade-off, for some people. but not everybody myself included. and this is a great time to sell the ps5, at profit, and switch to xbox
exactly. I still think Show on gamepass is actually good for Sony. they need to reach a larger audience to see how good a product they have. after that, everything will take care of itself IMO
15 bucks for me to play MLB ‘21 to see if it’s worth a purchase rather than me forking out full price and being like “meh”. I’d rather try it for 15 bucks thank you.
