Yeah its weird that if they required feature parity that they'd still allow it on the PS4. My guess is that SDS lobbied to keep it in game for Sony Systems even tho Microsoft doesn't allow custom music (which is the best explanation for its removal as far is I know??), but compromised to leave it on the PS4 version.

If I'm right I have no idea what it means for the future of SOTS. Hopefully it makes it back into future versions, but I guess I'll have to live with out it for at least this year

I have the PS5, so I'm just asking, but I take it that the new XBox Series X still doesn't have the ability to import music. I know it doesnt have it on XB1 and thought that was a huge miss by the system. But to not have that fixed for the new system just awful.

I really missed adding music to NHL on the 360 and hated when they removed all that from XB1

If not, I'm also curious if that function can be enabled via a system update or something. Maybe someone a bit more knowledgeable with console architecture than myself has some insight lol.

Pretty sure it's not a hardware/software issue at all on Xbox...it's the fact they probably won't allow it, maybe ever.

How many current games even allow custom music to be uploaded in to the game?

If that is the case and Xbox never allows it, that may be the end of SOTS. Unless SDS and Sony pull to have it on PS5 version in 22.

I can confirm that this is not Xbox's issue at all causing this. I used the USB drive that I use for the SOTS on the Playstation and plugged it into my Series X. The music was read by the console and I could play any song on there. I see a lot of people saying the Xbox isn't capable because it's an inferior console and that's just a joke. This is a Sony decision to do this it has nothing to do with Xbox's capabilities. Let's hope a future patch fixes this because The Show isn't complete without the SOTS.

Anyone have any issues with some SOTS not importing. I was playing around with it last night and I noticed there were quite a few songs that would not importing; it would say it's unsupported or corrupted but these were ones that I used for '20.

Not a console war at all. I was addressing silly comments made by people trying to start one. If what you are saying is true that's incredibly unfortunate and flat out not fair to Sony users who have enjoyed this feature for years. They should not force parity and allow this feature on the PS5 if this I the case.

- Just a shout in the dark, but could it be that you have to import everything on your PS4 console and then transfer the game and related files over to your PS5? I know that sounds silly, but when I got my PS5 last year, I transferred 20 over and it worked perfectly. I didn't import new songs--just transferred but throwing it out there to see if someone can confirm.

I have not seen anything of anyone creating big reports about our issue with SOTS. Perhaps someone can, and I’ll look into doing so as well! Figured the more attention we give this, by going along the correct and most efficient avenues, it’ll be fixed. I’m applying the most recent updates (patches?) now for both versions on my PS5 console.
