Re: Sounds of the show 21
Thanks a lot Countryboy! Please keep us updated if you see/hear anything (as I know you will).
If they can fix SOTS on PS4 version, this game is going to be unbelievable. It just looks and plays amazing, even if there are somewhat minimal improvements made to the features we deeply care about, just get SOTS sorted out and we will be Golden.
Fingers and toes tightly crossed

Re: Sounds of the show 21
so the only work around i have and what im doing (i mentioned it earlier but i can confirm it works ) is playing road games on ps5. Uploading to cloud, downloading the save on the PS4 version of the show on the PS5 and playing home games like that and SOTS does work.
What i haven't tested yet, and im sure it won't work. Is if i go back to ps5 version and then back to ps4 whether or not the songs will still show up or if you have to assign them every single time.Last edited by franch1se; 04-18-2021, 01:05 PM.Comment

Re: Sounds of the show 21
I hope they do too but as others have said, I think this is a parity agreement and Microsoft doesn’t allow unlicensed music imported into their games. I have a PC so I’m hoping 22 comes to that next year but even then, how much modding will be available?
I’m thinking an idea could be to import the music through a music steaming service such as Spotify. You’d link you Spotify, click on the music slot and choose the song via Spotify interface. SOTS makers would just load a list onto Spotify.
I believe this is completely doable, my concern is I wonder how much SDS values this feature because it would require Spotify integration and essential another project for their team.
Lets hope they do indeed understand how valuable this feature is and have a SOTS feature in some shape or form next year.

Re: Sounds of the show 21
Just wanted to drop this link here for us to submit the SOTS big report to SDS!
I know a few of us have submitted the reports, but I figured the more that do it, the better our voices of passion can be heard, even though I’m sure they’re aware of it (I hope).
Be polite, show the passion of this feature, and let them know exactly what’s what. Being rude, calling them names, and being combative (even though my mind tells me to be sometimes), won’t work here. Just be upfront and honest, but kind and hopefully we’ll get it patched up before long.
I’d say just make sure to say the PS4 version is what’s having the issue, I know we can get it on PS5...but technically the next gen don’t support importing sounds (even though I know we can on the PS4 version), they just may see this as finding a loophole, I’m not sure.
Anyway, here’s the link and I hope you all are doing well.

Re: Sounds of the show 21
How are you guys uploading the mp3 files in PS5? I'm not seeing a way to upload them to the system. Thanks!Comment

Re: Sounds of the show 21
Create folder on a USB titled “MUSIC”... load mp3s onto it and place into folder.
Insert USB into PS5
1) Launch MLB The Show 21
2) Go to settings tab
3) Go to SOTS tab under settings
4) inside the SOTS page, click the bottom right square (I think it’s called “Manage files”)
5) Select “import”, system will auto load them in
6) Go to playlist editor, and select all songs for music cues, jukebox, chants, etc
7) Assign songs to stadiums, players, etc
On 21, we are having an issue where none of the music stays assigned after closing and reloading the game. It sucks but a small, fairly time consuming workaround for me is assigning stadium sounds/player walk ups before every home game. It takes time, but it’s better than nothing
Hope this helps!

Re: Sounds of the show 21
Maybe I'm just being dumb, but in MLB the show for PS5 I do not have a sounds of the show under settings? Under settings I have - settings, sliders, file management, audio unlockables, jukebox, game controls, credits. If I click settings there, it's the settings presets of gameplay, presentation, audio/video, mode specific. Am I doing something wrong?Comment

You’re not being dumb. There is no sounds of the show for PS5, Xbox or Xbox series X this year. Maybe the poster above was referring to playing the PS4 version on PS5? If you have the digital deluxe, you’d be able to do that.

Re: Sounds of the show 21
For those with vast SOTS experience...does anyone know the sequence in which walk up songs play for a batter??
If I have 3 songs set for a player, and he bats 3/4 times in a game, sometimes I’ll have 1 song play for all at bats, other times it’s one song for first at bat, another song for the second, and then back to one I’ve already heard for the third/fourth plate appearance.
Though I have 3 songs assigned, I’ll go games without hearing one of them randomly.
Is there any theory for this or is it literally randomized?
