Nobody beleived me about the XBOX version when I said it would be the reason they take out features

so lets see we have SOTS Y2Y saves and import rosters taken out now because of this. I CALLED IT

this is turning into madden 13 the game that killed the franchise when they took out just about every single feature and turned the clocked back 20 years ago. and never recovered

Until somebody in the know confirms that the Xbox is the reason then you are just assuming you are right.

My guess is that year to year rosters, at least for RTTS are due to the big changes they made in RTTS, where your RTTS player is also your Custom DD player.

I still don't like it but I can't just assume that the Xbox is the reason.

The only question I have is when will SOTS be brought back on next-gen?

Will it be next year? Two years from now?

Hopefully the outrage from the fans will force them to correct their mistake sooner rather than later.

Oh man now I feel ripped off! I also bought the JR edition and its already preloaded. I so wish i could cancel.

I keep telling people don't pre order your games!! I dunno why people still do. it's not like they will run out of digital copies or even physical for that matter it's 2021 I don't know why pre order is still a thing

I'm so glad I found this thread now because I was about to ask the same question before ordering. Matter of fact, this is the first time in nearly a decade I didn't pre-order MLB, but was still excited over getting the PS5 version on launch day. However, I enjoy SOTS way too much to pass it up, so it appears playing the PS4 version on PS5 is the way to go for me.

Because some people are so excited for their hobby that they have no problem forking over some extra cash. They love the game and want to get into their hobby. Plus, it’s their business. Man, give it a break just a bit. Relax.

I only said it because he wanted to cancel it. and regretting buying it.

maybe I am just becoming older and cranky but your right I should relax more. just frustrated today when usually I am excited to no end about the game.

so I'm confused, it says each batter will have 3 slots for walk up music etc. So can we still add walk up music? I never really fully did all SOTS, just did batter walk up and pitcher entry.

Welcome to the confusion. Iwill be downloading at 9pm PST tomorrow and that and the roster load are the first thing I’ll check. I have the PS5 digital.

do you know if I create my players on next gen ps5 version, can I import them to the ps4 version on ps5 as well? Or do i have to recreate them if I start up the ps4 version?


Im also going to play the ps4 version on ps5 just for Sounds of the Show, and the next gen version for stadium creator.

So it seems like the theme im getting is MLB wanted to make it fair for both consoles. But yet they made it be on gamepass while playstation owners pay $90.

So the game being made by the same company that has a console basically is forced to screw over its users on that console.

I already bought a ps5 but seriously if I was to buy a new console today this could easily sway me to Xbox.

If all this is true the MLB execs making decisions are ridiculous. Short sighted thinking caused them to take the money and watch 2K destroy their brand while Sony took it upon themselves to make a perennial game of the year juggernaut franchise. You don't anger a whole fan base because your feeble attempts at a video game(RBI Baseball) on Xbox are failing horribly.

Look I'm ecstatic that the game is on Xbox. It should be. I'm guessing the verbiage in the agreement is very specific and black and white in fear that Sony San Diego would purposely withhold features in an attempt to swing towards their console. I get that thought but its impossible for a guy like me who switched to playstation because of the show, to not feel slighted by this if its true.

Yeah but your not owning your games with gamepass. people think they get games 'free' they are paying a subscription to rent games.. just like netflix they are not paying to own tv shows or movies they are paying to rent them and never own them.

with the PS3 store and vita shutting down this is why it is bad to just pay to rent your games because years later if that ever shuts down it's gone!! or if you have financial issues and have to stop paying a monthly fee you got no games to play

HOWEVER with sports games... this is perfect to only rent your games with as they are only a 6 month or so lifespan then that is something that I agree that is perfect for gamepass and a whole new ball game. SO I think there is both good and bad in owning your games or renting them.

Maybe we'll be lucky and SDS will give us all a bronze DD pack to make up for removing a feature on PS5 and not telling anyone until a day before release.

I haven't used SOTS in a while but was actually really excited to add it in for my custom team this year. Another great job by SDS in pissing people off. I'm sure there's a legitimate technical reason for it with the PS5, but to not say anything and bury it on a FAQ page...bad looks all around from a team that already has indicated they aren't prioritizing the offline gamer experience.

Don't they always give you some generic tracks to use and allow you to possibly use the tracks already included in the soundtrack?
