      Franchise Stat Tracker

Looking for ways to track all of my franchise stats, news, records, etc. As of right now, are spreadsheets the best thing we have? Are there any websites or anything where we can enter franchise information?

Tommy Edman's hitting streak ends at 20 games

Tommy Edman saw his hitting streak come to an end at 20 games against the Reds on Thursday. Edman went just 0-1 in the game as he walked twice and was hit by a pitch. His only official at-bat was a line drive hit right at Eugenio Suarez in the 5th inning.

Edman not only had a hitting streak of 20 games, but he had 11 multiple hit games during that stretch including earning 3 hits in two of those multiple hit games and one 4 hit game. Edman also leads the majors in triples (12) and is 2nd in the majors in walks earned.

Edman will likely get the day off on Friday and will return to the lineup on Saturday as he looks to begin a new streak.

Cardinals sweep mini 2 game series from Tigers

The Cardinals (64-46) swept a mini 2 game series from the Tigers and hold a half game lead over the Reds in the NL Central Division.

The Cardinals won on Tuesday behind Jake Odorizzi's dominant performance that led to his major league tying best 13th win of the year (Jack Leiter of Angels has 13 wins as well). Odorizzi went 8 innings allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and struck out 10. Offensively the Cardinals were balanced as they got contributions from everyone including a struggling Victor Caratini who went 2 for 3 with 4 RBI's in route to a 9-2 victory.

Matthew Boyd would face his old club on Wednesday but got a no decision as the Cards won in the 12th inning. The Cardinals bullpen pitched out of no outs, bases loaded jams in the 10th, 11th, and 12th innings and walked it off in the bottom of the 12th thanks to a Tyler O'Neill single.

The Cardinals stay home as they welcome the Reds to town for a big 4 game series. Separated currently by a half game, these two teams will play 13 games over the Cardinals final 50 games of the season.

              2022 Baltimore Orioles 06/10-06/22

              Overall Record:42-27 (1st AL EAST)

Orioles stay hot through mid June
It hasnt been another fourteen game winning streak but nine out of twelve is still pretty good.

The Orioles enter the last part of June with two three game series' to go. First will be a trip to Detroit to face the Tigers who are 27-40. Afterwards, the Orioles will end June with a three game series in New York against the Yankees 39-31 who have also been playing well and are looking to take over the first place spot in the East.

*just a quick update since ive played quite a bit without updating.

Cardinals and Reds split their 4 game series

The Cardinals (66-48) split their 4 game series with the Reds in St.Louis and now the divisional lead is back to a half game, exactly where it was prior to the series.

The Cardinals won both Thursday and Friday, but pitching was bad over the weekend and the offense just couldn't keep up. The Cardinals gave up 8 homeruns, 17 runs, and 25 hits over Saturday and Sunday. Yikes!

Offensively, Paul DeJong and Tyler O'Neill found their stroke, each hitting 2 homeruns in the series with O'Neill also adding a triple and a 4 hit game on Sunday.

The Cardinals will be off on Monday as they prepare to travel to Philadelphia for a 3 game series with the struggling Phillies.

                      Cardinals drop series to Phillies

The Cardinals (67-50) dropped a series to the struggling Phillies in Philadelphia and now find themselves a game behind the Reds in the NL Central Division.

The Cardinals' bats left them after the series opener as the Cardinals scored 3 runs in the final two games. Pitching wasn't much better as the Phillies hit 11 homeruns in a 3 game series, including 8 in the final two games.

The Cardinals will look to rebound over the weekend as they face the Marlins.

Dodgers take Game 1 of NLCS
NL MVP Cody Bellinger hit a three-run homer in the top of the 12th - his second of the game - as the Dodgers beat the Braves 9-6 in Game 1 of the NLCS.

The Dodgers hit five homers, but also hit into four double plays, in the back and forth game. Joc Pederson hit a pinch-hit homer in the 8th - his fifth of the postseason - to tie it at 6.

Atlanta had a golden opportunity to win it in the bottom of the 10th. After Ronald Acuna Jr. flew out to the warning track to lead off the inning, Ozzie Albies smashed a double off the right-center wall. But Freddie Freeman struck out and Adam Duvall grounded out to first to end the inning after a walk to Marcell Ozuna.

Max Fried takes on Trevor Bauer in Game 2 at Truist Park.

Good luck in Game 2. Losing Game 1 always increases the pressure, at least for me.

                            Cardinals take series against Marlins

The Cardinals (69-51) won on Saturday and Sunday to take the 3 game series from the Marlins over the weekend in Miami. The series win ties the Cardinals with the Reds atop the NL Central division.

The Cardinals lost the opener on Friday and got a scare as well when Nolan Arenado left the game after leaving the game due to an apparent hand injury trying to make a diving stop at the hot corner. Thankfully, he just bruised a finger and is day to day.

Saturday and Sunday the Cards used dominant pitching from Jake Odorizzi and Matthew Boyd to stay in the games and prevail to victory. Saturday's 4-1 win earned Jake Odorizzi his National League best 14th win of the year. Sunday, the Cards fell behind 2-0 early, but rallied with a run in the 8th and two in the top of the 9th to steal a victory from Miami and win the series.

The Cardinals will fly home for a 3 series with the Pirates.

                              Cardinals sweep the Pirates

The Cardinals (71-51) are returning to their winning ways as they swept the Pirates and now have won 5 games in a row. They now lead the Reds by 1 1/2 games in the NL Central.

Carlos Martinez got things started Monday with a solid outing going 6 innings giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and striking out 6. He did allow 4 walks and a hit batter. Nolan Arenado was the offense driving in 4 runs in a 6-2 victory.

Jack Flaherty had another rough start on Tuesday night as he continues to give up homeruns this year. Last year he gave up just 21 homeruns and thus far in 2023 he's allowed 19. But he would get a no decision as the Cardinals walked off on a Paul DeJong single in the 9th to win the game 3-2.

Kwang Hyun Kim started Wednesday afternoon's finale and was great. He went 7 2/3 innings allowing no runs on 5 hits and struck out 7. Tyler O'Neill would be the hero of the game as the Cardinals put up 4 runs thanks to Tyler O'Neill's grand slam in the 5th.

The Cardinals will remain home and welcome the Nationals to town for a 4 game weekend series. The Nationals surprisingly find themselves in the thick of the playoff hunt for the wildcard, as they trail the Reds by 6 games for the 2nd spot.

So yeah, I'm going to re-sign Joc in the offseason.

Joc Pederson hit a tie-breaking two-run homer in the bottom of the 7th inning, and the Braves held on for a 5-4 win to even the NLCS at a game apiece against the Dodgers. The homer was the sixth of the postseason for Pederson.

With two out in the 9th, Kelbert Ruiz hit a pinch-hit single to drive in a run, but the rookie inexplicably tried to stretch it to a double and was gunned down by Cristian Pache to end the game.

Max Muncy hit his second homer of the series for the Dodgers, who led 2-0 and 3-1. Ozzie Albies homered to tie it at 3 before Pederson broke the tie three batters later.

Ian Anderson faces Walker Buehler in Game 3 at Dodger Stadium.

These games have been intense. The CPU offense - for both the Mets and now the Dodgers - has definitely picked up in the postseason.
