I'm in 4th place with my Cardinals even without injuries.. LOL. March to October has been tough as dynamic difficulty has raised me past Veteran, which is realistic as I was killing the ball early on. Still fun but I can't get a hot streak going yet.

May 1st New York Mets vs Philadelphia Phillies
It was the Jacob DeGrom show! Eight innings, 13 strikeouts, including the first 6 batters he faced. Chase Anderson had a different day however and only lasted 2 and a third innings before making way for Ranger Suarez. It wasn't until the 4th inning that Philadelphia recorded their first hit, a double by Bryce Harper.

Trade rumors: Philadelphia and Colorado reportedly have been in talks for a Trevor Story trade. Philly offered SS Didi Gregorious, Number 3 prospect SS Bryson Stott and 18th ranked prospect pitcher Adonis Medina in exchange for Trevor Story but Colorado has asked for more or perhaps a prospect higher up in the farm system closer to Stotts level.

CB bud, I saw ur post about CPU signing Flowers in late April...
My question is, have you seen them DFA guys and send down guys struggling, promote guys doing well?

Re: MLB The Show 21 Franchise Discussion Thread
There is currently a bug where the CPU will not recall/promote a player to the MLB roster, or any roster, to fill a vacancy left due to injury. SDS is aware and has a fix that I believe will be deployed in their first patch (thanks to Tbarnes for communicating with SDS that issue and submitting info to get it fixed)
So I'm thinking once that fix is deployed then we'll see the CPU promote/demote players due to injuries and performance like they should.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

I selected the default roster when I started my franchise. But I made a fair number of positional edits for each team before spring training started.Comment

The CPU is DFA players, but I have not seen them promote a player to the majors and demote a player based on performance.

I took the latest LIVE ROSTER and made my own personal adjustments and have started. Works for me.
Yes I did. But after sending him to Memphis the last time he performed much better, so I'm hoping for a similar result.Currently Playing

Re: MLB The Show 21 Franchise Discussion Thread
Hey all! So I'm using the newest roster update but I went thru and lowered all B and A potentials by 5. And then I went back thru again and lowered all players attributes who overall was 80-84 by 1, 85-89 by 2, 90-94 by 3 and 95+ by 4. Because SDS always makes their potentials and imo their overalls of players way too high. I also went thru and adjusted players positions so it's a better balance across the roster and changed contracts because real life contracts never work in the game imo.
Whew!!!
So after doing all that I started a 30 team fantasy draft 2 days ago and just finished today drafting for all 30 teams. I use recommended pick for 29 teams but I make sure the cpu teams stay balanced so I will switch to another position if tjey keep picking from one position and manually draft for me. To keep it balanced though I counted the total number of B potentials and A potentials and divided by 30. So that left me with I could only choose 26 B potential players and 4 A potential players. Which makes it hard because you have to really scrutinize what players to draft and spread the potentials around lol and for each extra A potential player over my 4 that I can get 2 less B potential players. So as you can see it gets very hard and really makes you think about who you draft lol
I will post my results of my draft in my next post because I'm sure this is already too long lol

Re: MLB The Show 21 Franchise Discussion Thread
SEATTLE MARINERS UPDATE:
The MLB decided to switch things up after the pandemic and do a full blown Fantasy Draft for all 30 teams. Every player was eligible to be drafted.
The Mariners came in with the 13th/18th picks in the Draft. Fernando Tatis Jr was the number 1 overall pick and was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals.
As the 13th pick came closer and closer the Mariners had to decide who to draft as slowly some of their picks came off the board. The Mariners had come in with a plan of drafting from the middle out and getting 2 ace like SP and 2 ace type RP along with a C, 2B, SS and CF with good defense within their first 10 picks.
So when the 13th pick came around Seattle had some really tough choices. Some of their top picks were still left on the board. At 2B Brandon Lowe who brings a nice blend of power and defense. At SS Trevor Story, a true 5 tool player, along with SS Francisco Lindor and Javier Baez. And in CF Cody Bellinger another dominant 5 tool player. After looking thru the stats the decision came down to SS Trevor Story and CF Cody Bellinger. Both true 5 tool players, Story is in the last year of team control with Bellinger having 3 more years of control.
SS Trevor Story (88) B potential
CF Cody Bellinger (90) A potential
But with only a limited number of A and B potential I am able to get the Mariners decided to pick... SS Trevor Story with the 13th overall pick.
The next 10 picks went as follows for Seattle....
1. SS Trevor Story (88) B
2. SP Dinelson Lamet (84) B
3. Max Fried (83) B
4. Willson Contreras (84) A
5. David Fletcher 2B (84) B
6. SP Sixto Sanchez (77) B
7. RP Devin Williams (83) B
8. RP Josh Hader (83) B
9. 1B Trey Mancini (76) C
10. RF Austin Meadows (76) B
11. CF Raimel Tapia (72) B
So the first 11 picks the Mariners kept to their plan and came out very happy.
