I do wish they would return the feature that was in previous games where you could come out and argue calls/potentially get thrown out. I'm sure MLB doesn't want the game to showcase that aspect of baseball.

I had the same issue with a play at first where my guy caught the ball a full stride and a half before he reached and was called safe. It sucked by I"m okay with it since it happens in real life.

I thought about it but probably won't for the time being. I made some edits and tweaked potential for the minor leagues. I might compare their roster and do some edits on my own based on their roster.

Cubs Wrap Up: 2020 Presented by Jay

Cubs Get back On Track Vs Brewers

The Cubs (0-3) would finish their opening homestand vs. Milwaukee (2-1) The Cubs were not happy with their start as they have found every way to lose, letting games slip by in the end and through not hitting but looked to get back on track as the Brewers came to town. Trevor Williams got his first start of the year against Adrian Houser. Williams was able to get the Cubs their first win of the year on a strong 6 inning performance; Williams allowed 2 hits and 2 walks but did not allow a run in the 2-0 win. Jason Heyward was able to get the Cubs on the board with a triple in the 2nd inning followed by a Rizzo double.

Adbert Alzolay pitched in the middle game against Eric Lauer; Alzolay had a so so spring but made his first opening day roster this year; the Cubs brass are expected to be very mindful of his innings especially early on. Alzolay had a strong start as he allowed 2 through 6 innings and struck out 5 as he gave up solo hr to Yelich and Travis Shaw. The Cubs were added by Rizzo’s 3 for 4 day including a 2 run homer and an RBI double. The Cubs lead the game 6-3 heading into the 9th as Kimbrel came on. Kimbrel was shaky as he gave up a walk that lead to a 2 run home run by Huira but was able to get the final 2 outs on K’s to seal the 6-5 win.

In the final game both teams had their aces on the mound as Hendricks faced off against Woodruff. Both were solid as Hendricks lasted 6 innings giving up 1 run on 4 hits while Woodruff gave up 3 in 5.1 innings before a high pitch count ran him from the game. The Brewers bullpen imploded, giving up 3 runs in the 6th and 4 in the 7th as the North Siders cruised to the 9-1 win. Javy Baez has struggled early on but improved his season line with a 2 for 4 performance including his first home run of the year. The Cubs will head to Pittsburgh to face the Pirates once again on Thursday and then have Friday off before resuming the 3 game series.

              Cardinals Walk Off in 10th

St. Louis, MO--The new extra innings rule no doubt played a role in the Cardinals 3-2 victory. It allowed the Cardinals to use small ball tactics to advance the base runner and ultimately drive home the winning run. It came down to a Harrison Bader swinging bunt and a misplay(we'll call it that) by Brewers 3B Daniel Robertson to bring home the winning run

Finished the three game series vs the Marlins.

Reds looking to end their losing streak back at home for the next seven games. After being swept in four games by Colorado we come back and sweep Miami at home. Our first series sweep of the season. A little home cooking is all we needed I suppose.

                    Game one: 8-5 W (T. Antone 1-1 3.24era; A. Bass 2-2 3.86era; A. Garrett S, 14)

Game three we were down 6-4 headed into the bottom of the 8th. John Curtiss came in and blew it for Miami.

Moustakas is having a career year. Two more homeruns in the series which now gives him a MLB tying 16 on the season. Tied with Acuña. I am switching up the batting order for next series.

Next up is a crucial four game series at home vs the second place Brewers (22-22), who sit 2.5gb and just finished a three game sweep of their on against the Cubs at Wrigley. Interestingly enough they were swept four games @ Miami just a couple series back.

                    Game one: Lorenzen 4-2 3.53era vs Anderson 6-3 3.70era

Cardinals split series with Pirates..Wainwright's woes continue

The Cardinals split their mini two game series with the Pirates. The Cardinals lost the first game as Adam Wainwright (2-7 6.24 ERA) continues to struggle this season. Wainwright was bombarded for 8 runs on 13 hits over just 4 innings of work. Mike Shildt tried to stretch Wainwright as far as he could to give the bullpen some sort of rest, but unfortunately it didn't workout that way. Daniel Ponce de Leon came in to relieve Wainwright, but would exit after just 15 pitches due to a shoulder issue. The bullpen combined to get thru the final 4 2/3 innings, as the Cardinals fell 10-2.

Game 2 was a much more enjoyable experience as the Cardinals got a masterful pitching performance from Carlos Martinez who earned his NL leading 7th win of the year pitching a complete game, one hit shutout. Martinez went 8 1/3 innings of no hit ball until Colin Moran line a sharp single to right field. Martinez would end the day with just one hit allowed and 10 strikeouts against 2 walks and a hit batsman. Offensively Nolan Arenado and Tyler O'Neill led the charge as they combined for 5 RBI's on 4 hits with each hitting a homerun. The Cardinals won the game 6-0.

The Cardinals will host the rival Cubs this weekend at Busch. Kim, Mikolas, and Flaherty are slated to the be trio of starters.

Daniel Ponce de Leon to 15 Day IL

The Cardinals have placed RHP Daniel Ponce de Leon on the 15 Day IL due to shoulder issues. He left the game against the Pirates with the injury as he had replaced Wainwright. Ponce de Leon has been serviceable out of the bullpen as he's been called upon a lot this year to put innings together when the starter that day struggled.

Dakota Hudson was recalled from Memphis to replace Ponce de Leon.

Justin Williams to the 10 Day IL

Early season surprise Justin Williams has been placed on the 10 Day IL with what the club is describing as a MCL sprain. Williams suffered the injury running out a double on a pinch hit during Thursday's game against the Pirates. Williams has been a surprise this season not only making the club out of spring, but hitting .265 with a homerun and 4 RBI's this season and 4 outfield assists. There was serious discussion about Williams replacing a struggling Dylan Carlson as the everyday right fielder prior to the injury.

Connor Capel was recalled from Memphis to fulfill the roster vacancy.

                      Jordan Hicks recalled from Memphis

Jordan Hicks has been recalled from Memphis after being sent down nearly 2 weeks ago. Seth Elledge will be optioned to Memphis to make room. Hicks has struggled this year, but after pitching 8 innings in Memphis allowing zero runs and recording 14 strikeouts, the Cardinals feel comfortable that he's worked out his kinks and deserves another shot at the big league level. Hicks will join the club for their upcoming series with the Cubs this weekend.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Starting out the 2022 season the Pirates have a 11-9 record 1.5 GB of the Brewers. The Pitching has been mediocre so far while the offense has carried the team. Hoping to build on a solid April with more wins than losses in the coming months.

We acquired Joe Jimenez from the Tigers for a game generated player 71 Overall 2B. The Tigers offered me the trade and figured it a no brainer to have some more depth in the bullpen.

                        Hitting Studs:

                        Notes:

inspired by the Angels and their handling of Prince Albert earlier today, the O's finally decided to part ways with Chris Davis and save $20 mill in the process. I hated doing it but the luck he displayed in Show 20 as my 5th outfielder just isn't there this season

Tonight I'll be starting my Brewers franchise. First move is signing cole hamels to the back of my rotation.

Did you DFA him first or out right released him?
