Old enough to forget if I've posted in this thread. I'm 51 and more of a casual player, at best, nowadays. I think the one thing that keeps me playing from time to time are fictional rosters like Bacons.

I'm 53. My first game was All-Star Baseball and had spinners and round cards. And we kept our stats in notebooks.

And LED Baseball by Mattel. And yeah, I kept stats in a notebook for that, too.

I’m pretty sure my first baseball video game would’ve been Super Bases Loaded on the SNES.

            Turned 46.

If I remember correctly, my first proper baseball game was TV Sports baseball on dear Amiga 500, which I played with a friend of mine.

Must a been quite a view, two kids in then Yugoslavia, playing a game of sport in a country where majority of population didn't even hear about.

Loved the game and a bit later even played it for real, when some enthusiasts formed a club on a field near my home. So passionate that we even went on a some sort of a 'european club championship' in Italy, back in the late '80s...

It honestly doesn't look as bad as I was expecting

I've loved many Triple Plays. the one with the creative home run challenge that had targets, living room, even a Medievel castle!

Then came MVP 2004, a really strong game with the worst glitch in sports gaming history, which is, left-handed hitters couldn't hit home runs. Well, once in a while you could luck into a wall-scraper. How that made it beyond testing is anyones guess.

Fortunately they followed it up with the best video game of all-time... which was sadly followed by a buyout. Which is how I ended up with The Show.

I like The Show, I really do, but to this day I believe Triple Play and MVP's hitting mechanics more naturally mimicked real-life hitting. Cursor-based hitting is nothing like real hitting, and that's my biggest gripe with The Show. Hitting is about timing, it's not timing+aiming. The aiming part is instinctual. I realize that technically there is a timing-only option but it leaves a lot to be desired.
Triple play 98 still my favorite intro....and Erik Kiss what a name.

I had an Atari 2600, but my best friend had an Intellivision. I mean, yeah, it's a terrible game. But it felt like playing baseball in HD compared to Atari baseball.

Awesome. It reminds me of playing it for hours with my uncle. I had to be like 12 years old.

I’m 32 and the first baseball game I played was All Star Baseball 2001 on Nintendo 64. I fell in love with baseball in 2000 and was already into games. That game was phenomenal
