Re: How old are you, MLB the Show fan?
I'll be 45 in December. My first real experience with a baseball game that I played a lot was Hardball on Commodore 64. Even kept stats in a notebook for my team.GT: Herkyalert

Re: How old are you, MLB the Show fan?
I'm 45 and actually started gaming on the Atari 2600. The first real baseball game I played was on my cousin's Intellevision console. Baseball started out as my first love in sports and I believe I played every single baseball game ever produced outside of PC. I remember the MLB Baseball game where if you hit fly balls to the fence they would count as homeruns...Baseball Stars...Bases Loaded was my favorite baseball game for a long time and you could actually charge the mound and fight lol....Tony LaRussa Baseball where you had to keep your Sega Genesis on contentiously in order to retain your stats because once you cut the console off it would reset all stats back to zero. RBI Baseball III was the first baseball game where I actually played all 162 games. I was set for the playoffs and then my little cousin, who was visiting form Ohio erased my season by mistake. I punched a hole in the wall lol!! Who could forget Sportstalk Baseball and playing with different stars who had their own batting stances? I could go on and on...funny thing is, my first dip into MLB The Show didn't come until 2016. Needless to say, it was the best baseball game I had ever played up until that point. That now belongs to The Show 20."Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Comment

just a quick observation:
C'Mon 45-54 year olds, in the survey we're in 2nd place and beating the 28-34 year olds by 5%
Where are all my 50 year olds??!! Get Over here and vote!!
I am the way
I am the light
I am the dark inside the night.
I hear your hopes
I feel your dreams
And in the dark I hear your screams
Don't turn away, Just take my hand
I'll never leave, All I ask of you, Is Believe.
Believe

26. First baseball game was all star baseball with Jeter on the cover. 2nd baseball game was MVP 04 then 05. I've had every the show game since 06. 06 is still better than anything RBI baseball has to offer [emoji23][emoji23]

Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.Comment

Re: How old are you, MLB the Show fan?
I'm 46. Had an Atari 2600. I was given it for Christmas. I found out years later that after I went to sleep Christmas Eve, my parents opened it and played it, then re-wrapped it before I opened it Christmas Day. LOL.
Took me years to get into The Show games, because I couldn't get the hang of hitting.
Probably my favorite baseball game was the NCAA baseball for PS2. Mostly because the customization was amazing. Every single team could be edited to be a generic team. The stadiums were fantatic. The throwing and batting were great. Really can't say enough.Space for rentComment

Re: How old are you, MLB the Show fan?
Same here. The graphics were sub par, presentation as well. But it felt like the best “simulation” of baseball I played on a console that generation. I played it for a year but then went to MVP 2005 and stayed there for 5 years till I moved to PS3 and MLB The Show.
The game was bashed a lot (High Heat), but it really has the best pitcher/batter showdown and really felt like real baseball.
I also really enjoyed ASB 2005 and MVP College Baseball 2006.

Like Armor, All-Star Baseball 05, MVP 05 and NCAA 06/07 were games I sunk plenty of time into as well. Man was it nice to have multiple options for a single sport to play back then.Currently Playing:

I'm old enough to remember a time before sports video games were actually about sports and not card collecting.Comment
