This is a great mode and fun to play. I have been playing this way for years now. However I wont be getting 24. At this point, I will play 23 till it dies.
I never use pitch to batter or pitch around batter. I also dont call pitches. I let the game handle it. I found its a much better gameplay that way. I'll only call for IBB, bunt, throw over, steal, etc. I let the game play out the pitching between the catcher and pitcher. I will on occasion with a 3-0 or 3-1 count tell the batter to not swing, but very rarely.

I used pitch to batter in some situations because the user controlled pitcher is programmed to pitch around the batter in some situations. If I have a base stealer at first base I'll have the batter take a couple pitches and then steal.

Another glitch is with a user controlled pitcher at the plate - I do not use DH - the cpu orders the pitcher to bunt with a runner at first base and less than 2 outs. That's an advantage to the cpu opponent in some situations but to balance the downside I put a base stealer in the 8 spot in the lineup because the cpu NEVER pitches out in that instance. The defense knows that your pitcher at the plate is programmed to bunt. You can have your base stealer steal on the first pitch. Same with a 2-0 count or an 0-2 count. CPU Never pitcher out on those counts. On 0-2 it is programmed to pitch around including for the user controlled pitcher. I used to select pitch to batter when I had an 0-2 count on a batter because the pitch around drives up the pitch count - until someone at the company glitched it in mlbts23. At the plate on 0-2 if I have a base stealer at first base he steals because the pitcher will pitch around 100% of the time.

Another glitched that used to work properly is 3-2 pitch, 2 out, force play the user controlled runner won't run on his own. You have to tell him to steal and sometimes that slips by me. CPU runner will go on his own. That used to work properly and for some weird reason it was changed.

I love the mode because I have figured out tendencies and take advantage of whoever programmed the game. It would be nice if they would have one developer spend one day fixing the issues with the mode but the odds of that happening are next to zero. I'll continue with mlbts23.

I wish there was a way that one of us MoM guys could test it for the developers. I don't know the ins and outs of how all that works but would be cool to get an early release in the future to make sure there are no bugs etc and run CPU vs CPU games for them to be able to see what could use tweaking. Stolen Bases definitely need some adjustments made. I work from home therefore I have a lot of time to run tests etc and I am a numbers guy so I do enjoy the process of comparing to the real MLB

Great idea. I wish as well, but like Madden, developers arent going to change anything in the game (franchise) that will effect the gameplay of card games. Back in the day before card games, it was all about franchise. That time has passed. Now the card games are all the "wow" now. While franchise is still pretty popular, card games are more popular.

So I’m playing a MOM game with QC on. Colorado’s Quantrill has reached 100 pitches in 5 1/3 innings. So, the QC numbers are still inflated?

He was pulled after 5 2/3 innings with 107 pitches thrown.

I dont use quick counts, and Ive seen pitchers (both sides) get pulled around 5th, 6th inning usually. Its actually rare I see them go further into 7+. So by MLBTS standards, it isnt inflated.

When Quantrill was with the Indians, I was lucky if I could get 5 out of him. He was always so gassed and really started giving up hits by then.

It’s the number of pitches tho. Not talking about getting pulled. If I’m not mistaken the inflated number when using QC was a problem last year. I thought it might get addressed.

Ya. I know he had to be close to 100. I think I only ever had one game where he was pitching good and over 100 pitches. Like I said though he was always fatigued by the 5th (high pitch count low energy). He was usually a 20+ pitch inning guy when I used him. With the set I was using, pitchers were averaging 12 to 15 pitches /inning.

Are you guys adjusting to the Backstop Camera? I sure hope this is patched soon as it is a completely different feel to the game in my opinion. I have not started in hopes of a patch fix quickly.

I haven’t played MoM mode in a very long time. Can you go back and forth between that and quick manage?

You have to choose before the game which Manage mode you want. I do not believe you can change mid-game

Play game
Under play full game is…..manage full game
Then pick your team/stadium, etc.
Play ball.
It’s dat one.

You can’t go into MOM when you choose to play full game.

I don't own mlbts24. In 23 you select a game from the calendar. View organization's games. You see a list of MLB and milb games for your franchise.
Click on the game you want to manage. Click on play game. Confirm. Manage full game.

If they ever fix the camera glitch I'd recommend press box view. You can see how your defense is aligned and change it to your liking and it's a great view of the field. Manage the game from the press box.
