I want SDS to blow me away with MLB 22, and to raise the bar to an unprecedented level. It's unlikely to happen because they are now all-in on micro-transactions in a monumental sell-out fashion, but what a way it would be to recapture those hardcore fans of the series... and to go against the grain of the evil empire that is EA. Instead of following the current, how about going against it? Business 101 : if you follow suit with everyone else, you won't sustain long-term success.

I want improved offline franchise gameplay, and a re-vamped, immersive experience. Give me AI that is on par with technology of 2022. I don't want another year of this recycled stale mode. I love the game and can make a great experience for myself with the existing mode, yes, but isn't it time we really give this mode some TLC?

Full disclosure: I have never bought a pack in The Show - I don't even know how to. I haven't ever touched Diamond Dynasty. I'm not knocking those modes - it's just not what I want from a sports gaming experience. When it comes to sports games, all I play are the offline modes, whether it be franchise, a post-season, or a one-off exhibition game. I know I'm in the minority, but how about we get a better offline experience?

Reinvent the wheel and reinvest in the offline gaming experience, SDS. That is what is on my wishlist for MLB The Show 22.
While I would say MLB definitely neglects franchise, I dont believe they have sold their soul fo micro transactions. In the past couple years they have added full minors which is HUGE. I know they dont literally have all minors but remember a time where we didnt get any player scanned in until the next year after they debuted. I feel like they always make relevant changes to make gameplay more realistic as well.

One of my biggest, if not the biggest, wishes of mine..
Bring back a real-time, no-skip ahead presentation mode. If I have the time to sit and play out a full 9-inning game that takes a couple hours to get through - so be it. I can still click X if I want to skip ahead in a particular moment. With how much detail and "little things" SCEA puts into the game, I'm shocked they don't allow this feature anymore. Best way to fully immerse yourself in the game.

Doesn't look like they're going to offer Y2Y I sure hope they understand the dilemma roster makers are facing.
Am I willing to give up a quarter of my life to create 400 players every year?
I don't know how a working man can keep up with it.
I'm retired and I can put in the 18 hours A-day required.
How hard would it be for SDS to at the very least include roster carry overs?
          We are worth the effort!

You are correct. The problem is not a technical limitation. The problem is they just don't care enough to do this. They do not care about those who want just rosters to import.

              Lifetime stats for created players.
This is something I really enjoy announced and is included with all legendary players SDS offers.

Not to pick strays out of the haystack, but they didn’t really add full minors. They leveraged work from the community (cough Ridin cough), and we’re able to get waivers to include image and likeness in the base game (they already had the scans for most in spring training, but had to file away until the following year once the player was MLB and in the union). Their including of full minors was primarily the benefit of DD so they could then market their future stars and series cards for these “new” players..

I'm worried about simulation management of Universal DH. In franchise when you simulate a game in NL, you see plenty of bench use like pinch hitters amd pinch runners. And not only in pitcher situations. And it keeps it realistic so that a 26th man will get an occasional pinch hit or pinch run.

When you simulate AL games, you often see no usage of bench at all.

I hope that can get the system to better use bench in AL games. Otherwise only time that end of the bench reserves will get some appearances without it being a user game.
