Maybe I'm in the minority but the show 22 coming out takes some of the sting out of the lockout happening. At least for the first month of no MLB.

I felt that way in '20 with covid. But this is something they could have taken care of long ago.

Not saying your feelings are wrong or anything however.

Oh for sure. I want to be excited, but just can't get there. Honestly, the past couple hours have been deflating. I'm sure the majority of us in here are die hard fans and just want to watch baseball. He'll, at the risk of embarrassing myself, when I was about 10 I legit cried when the baseball season was over.

Well I cried when my team was 2 outs away from winning the world series and lost.

I was very optimistic the lockout was ending today.

                Re: MLB lockout

the difference was with 20 the rosters were set we were midway through spring training. the game was ready to play with those rosters.

22 no spring training.. no off season finished.

we have the Os without a catcher on the 40 man roster
we have the Braves with Arcia playing 1st base.

This is only to name a few. not to mention all the NL teams that don't even have a DH yet.

the game really isn't playable with the default rosters just imagine M2O that is gonna be a utter ultimate MESS at least with franchise we can do our own fantasy thing and fix things up

Depends how you play the game. I do fantasy draft franchises so it won't be an issue. But for others I could see it being a big problem.

yes for franchise it will be fine. but those that play M2O will be stuck with the terrible unfinished off season rosters with no choice.

They really need to allow custom rosters in MTO now. Otherwise, that will be unplayable.

That’s a great point about the rosters on MTO. There really isn’t a solution to that problem that I can think of.

I think after listening to both sides today, they are much further apart than what we thought. It might be a long drought without baseball.
