A little rough around the edges is a pretty little rough around the edges statement if you ask me ;-) It looks damn near ugly imho.

As far as Universal DH, on top of it not being official, Manfred only even announced they had come to terms on it 6 days before the test went out. I'd fully expect DH to be on by default for both leagues when the game launches (though I'm sure there will be an option to turn it off in franchise).

At work,m but just played a quick 5 min of the switch version, overall look is pretty decent, little rough around the edges, pitching felt really good. I can definitely feels it running at 30fps which is a bummer was praying for 60fps. THe tegra1 chip can run games at 60fps not sure why its so hard. I will not hold my breath thinking they can get it to 60fps.Comment

For the folks that are saying they want to be able to go back and forth between the Switch and PS/XBOX versions, they need to understand that the performance and graphical difference between them is as wide as the Grand Canyon as it is right now. Honestly it reminds me of the Vita version as compared to the PS3 - that's about the best comparison I could make. Frame rate very is low at times, especially on wide stadium pans (and I was playing in the Trop which is one of the smoothest-running stadiums on any other platform).
I feel like the PCI Anchor thing was introduced at least in part FOR the Switch because trying to control PCI with a joycon reminds me, again, of doing the same on Vita - it wasn't easy. At least the anchor lets you have a better starting point if you're trying to zone in on a particular part of the zone.
It could definitely be better optimized before launch, and I hope it is. But if you're used to playing the game on Sony or XBOX, you WILL notice the difference, and not for the better.Comment

I was playing in docked mode and never saw it come close to 60. Target seemed to be 30 but dipped below that frequently. Maybe it's different in handheld mode?Comment

I've only tested this during my lunch break here so I've only had limited time to play, but I was practicing my hitting with the Zoom camera and left the field camera to default setting, and the game got a lot smoother when I made contact with the ball and it shifted to the field camComment

I haven't play The Show probably since the 2013 edition. Being exclusively a Switch user, I was super pumped for 10am this morning. About 20 minutes into playing, I'm not feeling so pumped anymore lol.
For those who have played NBA2K on the Switch, I was hoping The Show would have been able to hit 2K's performance benchmarks. It's not too far off, but I can't help but feel like it needs more development time. The player's hair, the resolutions on the jerseys... just not quite there yet.
30fps is fine when it's locked, but it dips when the fielding camera kicks in. I didn't even bother using pitch and fielding meters because I knew it's was going to become frustrating very fast.
Honestly, I'd be willing to sacrifice the crowd to improve the players frame rate. I remember turning the crowd off in MVP Baseball because my graphics card was not good enough lol.Comment

Just played a game of 2v2 Co-op.
Not sure if you can setup inning length as I wasn't the captain.
The game was only 6 innings but seemed to work well for it being an online game (little hitches here and there when the ball is hit).
It was Yankees vs. Yankees so it was double painful for me lol.
My Bronx Bombers won 1-0.
Pretty fun for what it is....

Played a few games in DD against the CPU. Very similar to '21 but something just feels different about this than last year, and in a good way. To my eyes, the lighting is better and things just overall look more crisp. Night games look wonderful. I love that you can have perfect perfect throws to all bases now. I see more swing follow throughs which is very good. I do like the new overlays but also feel they went overboard on the color blue. Overall, this tech test feels more responsive than last year. It's hard to explain.
Also, just had a play where my infielder dove for a grounder and he didn't abruptly stop like he hit a wall like they did in previous games. He naturally slid farther and gradually came to a stop. Hopefully y'all know what I mean by that. It just looked more natural

All in DD - Casual, Battle Royale, Event (currently it's an event focusing on lower rated players, particularly those with low vision) and maybe Play With Friends (the option is there and my friends list shows up, but no one else is online for me to check it)Comment
