The FM team doesn't get the game early. In the days of carryover they could start on the previous game a few months early and update everyone then port them into the new game once it comes out. With the lack of carryover but the additional minor league players in the game, it is less work for them but still substantially more than previously.

Not to mention the incorrect player ages of prospects in the base rosters now make this roster less accurate every year.

As far as a thread, someone randomly starts one but the FM team does not actively post here. They use Twitter for those types of communication.

round up the usual suspects for me:
plan on one & done ''season'' mode within franchise
Baltimore , Atlanta, Colorado and if time allows, either the White Sox, Oakland or Seattle

After I get my slider set tuned it I’ll be using the Cleveland Guardians (not really use to saying that yet)

And for the love of god I hope they fix prospect ages in this years game

My go to for the past 5 years has been a blast and I hope I have more time on my hands this year’s game.

I play 30 team control with OSFM. Set rosters and lineups and rotations for all 30 teams and do manual trades for trade deadline. I bring up prospects at opportune times.

I play all 162 with the Mets. I also play one game a day of another random team (either a big pitching matchup, rivalry game, inter league play) and I do one game player locked as a star each day.

Give me a ton of gameplay and exciting moments while keeping it out of the hand of the CPU and their trade/lineup logic

For me, a lot depends on if/when fictional rosters are available and the state of SDS rosters at launch. Teams I consider:

I like to rebuild teams,, but also like certain stadiums over others,, so IRL rosters, Detroit, KC, Twins, Rangers, Mets, Rockies, Arizona, and Baltimore.

Fictional Roster, TBD. Usually run with Tampa (rebranded as Montreal), Seattle, or the Cardinals (Bacons Fictional Roster).

I will start with the Blue Jays and probably get 10 years deep until I get bored/fav players start retiring.

I normally then just find the lowest rated team and rebuild them from scratch. I keep a hand record of EVERY transaction to see if the move paid off etc. Its always rewarding to see how much/long it takes to make the team a contender.
