They won't take it out.

But... Half of us here won't buy it. If not more.

But... The percent of the overall gamer base that wants franchise only is a lot smaller than that. The likely would not miss the sales.

I don't want it removed and it won't be but the OS franchise population is high and not a good subset of what the gamer base for The Show is.

I think one day they will add in a lockout situation in games. I am surprise OOTP series don’t already have it.

My go to for the past 5 years has been a blast and I hope I have more time on my hands this year’s game.

I play 30 team control with OSFM. Set rosters and lineups and rotations for all 30 teams and do manual trades for trade deadline. I bring up prospects at opportune times.

I play all 162 with the Mets. I also play one game a day of another random team (either a big pitching matchup, rivalry game, inter league play) and I do one game player locked as a star each day.

Give me a ton of gameplay and exciting moments while keeping it out of the hand of the CPU and their trade/lineup logic

How much time does this take per day?

Well it’s 2 full games (30-45 min) and then a player lock(5 min). So one day on the season calendar could take less than 2 hours about. Not including any time spent in menus.

What takes the most time for me is doing the rosters, lineups and rotations before the season starts. That could take a couple of days.

I also edit all equipment (I hate seeing white shoes with a gray away jersey/pants)

to begin a lockout, you go to the Turn Off PlayStation in the dashboard of your PlayStation (or XBox/Nintendo equivalent)

Some baseball games has true to life situations. What I mean play live calendar games with the lockout period. So anything you will be able to participate in is practice with your current team.

So training your players and assigning them to specific workouts will be key to return back in form once the lockout is lifted. Just a thought.

The commentary will speak about the lockout situation. There was a game that Chris Berman spoke about key situation that happened around the league. It was a football game though. I think it was on Dreamcast.

Braves, for sure. Maybe in future years I'll do a different team (especially if I ever get a new console and can make a new stadium for the A's), but since this is only my second year with the game, and I took a while to get started with franchise last year (last year I did RTTS at launch, then got into DD, and didn't really get into Franchise until August), I'll stick with the Braves.

Though I do think I'll do a test franchise to find my settings and sliders early, especially if (hopefully not) the season is delayed and free agents are left unsigned at release.

I am also looking at Pittsburgh Pirates as well. How many years do you think the Pirates are away from being contenders?

A long time because the owner won’t spend. I’ll probably do them because they have a couple prospects that I think are going to be good and make some realistic moves and see if I can get them there.

in the Show you could do it immediately
IRL it may take division realignment, maybe a division with the Pirates Orioles and Marlins would cure what ails Pitt

or maybe expanding the postseason to 16-20 teams lol

One other crazy thing I do is I type all the rosters out in an excel sheet with their contracts so i can make sure the team is planning for the future at all times
