They’re done with episodes now, so no. People who played the test release said it looked sharper but it’ll generally look the same- which is disappointing given it’s a couple of gens out of date graphically in some areas. I don’t believe it’s took any advantage of this generations hardware thus far.

Graphics in the tech test look really good, but there is definitely not a big leap or anything like that. Colors look better on helmets to me, the PS4 version has the texture streaming bug on cleats, bats, and sleeves finally resolved. There are some added “little things” with fans moving around more in the stands and better crowd noise. I’ve always thought The Show is the most authentic looking sports game, but I can see why some think it is lagging behind in graphics. It has subtle improvements over time in every feature. Graphics and art included.

A lot of the lighting effects have looked better so far, IMO.

While stadiums and crowds still look impressive, the rest of the visual package is starting to show its age. A lot of pitching motions, in particular, look really herky-jerky and dated.

Really? Have you seen NBA 2k? The graphics in the show are good, but it’s been the same for years! And they could improve it big time on next gen consoles.

I am sure they can be for someone with a trained eye to see it but for me I barely notice any difference but I am on the older side of gaming so.

The show isn’t much worse graphically than 2k…… 2K is probably better but it’s not a huge gap

I just how the grass (during gameplay not when zooming in close on a replay) still looks like it's from the Playstation 3. I really enjoy the nostalgia is brings. Same with the city skylines, the throwback to 2002 is really appreciated.

There were games on PS3 that looked better graphically than The Show on PS5, so they could absolutely get a heck of a lot more out of the graphics possibilities, were they so inclined.

Man, the amount of complaining on this forum about graphics is ridiculous. Seems pretty odd that you guys even play the game at all if the graphics are just that embarrassing.

2K has indoor arenas on a fixed sized court at one time where they all have the same baskets, shot clocks and everything.

MLBTS has to handle sunlight/stadium lights (at different times of day/year) as well as different stadiums.

They are totally incomparable when it comes to graphics.

There’s no good reason the grass can’t look as good as FIFA/Madden at the very least. It hasn’t changed since PS3 and doesn’t look anything close to real life.

For those complaining about people discussing graphical improvements in a graphic improvements thread, can you let us know what we’re allowed to ask for/discuss in terms of improvements so we don’t annoy you? Obviously we’re only allowed to push for the improvements YOU GUYS want. Cheers.
