I seriously doubt they took out the equipment this year to spite Nike. I mean that's basically what you are implying by saying I wonder if they are bitter.

There is no way they just took it out to take it out. I really think there has to be a reason here. The silence from SDS tells me there is a reason why and they can't tell us at this point. That usually means something to do with legal reasons such as licensing. Just because Nike makes the uniforms doesn't mean they have a global license to use anything Nike. We've seen this in other games with Jordan brand stuff. Catchers gear could and probably is a separate license from Nike cleats for just one example.

Maybe they are working on getting everything squared away for new licensing on some of this equipment.

Look, I know people don't wanna hear this stuff, but business rules everything. And I just don't see SDS leaving out this equipment for no good reason. The silence actually speaks volumes in this case.

I wanna believe there is a good reason, and that they get everything in the game soon.

It's worth noting that there isn't any new piece of Nike equipment in the game at the moment. As far as I am aware all the Nike equipment in game was in the game last year, so perhaps Nike was just delayed in sending over new models or something

To piggyback off of this. Every single piece of licensed equipment in the game has a negotiated price. I don't think people are aware of this. Nike Catcher gear is separate from the mitts, which are separate from batting gloves and cleats etc.......

This is why prior to 21 there was no Nike/Jordan Catcher equipment. The cost of the licensing was probably high or over a set budget. Budgets change year to year. Same reason oakley Sunglasses were removed a couple of years back. Contract expired and wasn't renewed until they came to an agreement on pricing most likely.

My theory on why equipment isn't in right now is there is equipment in the game that is glitched currently so that could be one reason and another reason is they are re-scanning equipment cause a lot of it has changed in real life this year.

I sure hope at some point they will try to replace all the Audio 1st and last names that were Included in the name database for The Show 21.

I hope they soon fix the issue with way too many throwing errors that are offline when using analog throwing with either no feedback, or off when it comes to the meter...super frustrating with 5-10 errors a game.

Because it looks so bland and something that has always worked in the past!

In MLBTS 21 there were no night games in the regular season due to a bug that was never fixed, but, at least the scoreboard worked!

I had reported this as a bug (as I am sure many did) and I received a reply saying the dev team is aware and working on it.

Well meter off is player ratings based right...i'm saying no matter which option i choose offline throws IF and OF happen like every other throw when using analog

I believe meter off still means you have to time your throw, the visual indicator is just removed from the screen. The only method that goes by player ratings, afaik, is buttons (not Button Accuracy).
