They don't. They're missing at least Seiya Suzuki and Robinson Cano among players that have already played in 2022.

The biggest issue last year was that the CPU wouldn't use him as a DH.

But there was no way for them to get it right this year with the rule change. They could have made it so that you could opt out of the DH and hit Ohtani, which is what the Angels did in the past. And then Ohtani comes out of the game entirely when he's removed from the game as a pitcher. They would have had to put resources into including a system for a team opting out of the DH so Ohtani can hit, and then it would have already been outdated before the game came out.

The Ohtani rule (allowing a pitcher to DH and stay in the game as such when they're removed as a pitcher) will require them to reprogram the game to consider a player as both a hitter and pitcher in the same game. They had to rewrite code to get the game recognize him as both a hitter and pitcher in general. It isn't reasonable to expect them to be able to program such a shift in game in 3 weeks. It's doubtful that'll be an update imo, as that's a big change that will likely require a lot of testing to make sure it doesn't break other things.

Don't even bother doing the opt out DH trick I did this. and day 3 Ohtani had no stamina left after his pitching start. so it works but you gonna have to give him a day off anyway

maybe i just got use to the medium camera they had before this patch, but man the updated medium looks bad. it feels way too high now.

This is exactly how I feel. If freezing hadn't become an issue, I probably would have passed on anymore updates just to keep that version of medium. It truly brought a new feeling/look to the game.

If they start putting stuff behind a pay wall then I’m done. They’ll never get another cent from me.

Yeah I really think that is not the case. The more and more I think it all the way through the more, it seems to me it is the hurdles of licensing and getting contracts done for all the equipment. This lockout did a number on some things and I think in due time most if not all of it should be back.

- Medium cam was reverted back to previous years' version.
- Rawlings red tags are in now
- Lindor NB cleats added
- Yankees new players beards removed
- they did add a ton of player photos for offline/DD modes. Mostly still poses from team photo days, but still something.

Still a ton of equipment missing from last year's game that should be in now. I have a strange feeling we're not getting the huge equipment drop we all want. Still not having Nike catchers gear is beyond weird two (three?) patches into this cycle.

I do hope they fix the commentary when using quick counts. So tired of hearing "here comes the 10th pitch of the at bat". While the count is 1-1.

Looks like the medium camera was "fixed". Def going to take some time getting used to again as I was really enjoying the out of box medium camera.
