Re: MLB The Show 22 Patch #3 Available Now - Patch Notes
True....but the fact that we only pay $70 (give or take) for 1000+ hours of very high-quality entertainment....that IS a ridiculously good bargain.Play the games you love, not the games you want to love.Comment

Lol its substantively the same game for a decade. I see multiple people agreed with my comment. Same textures, grass, hair, player models, very similar physics... I said the same thing and expressed my opinion as a day 1 Franchise player, in a much shorter form. Nobody appointed you White Knight for SDS I'm sure...
I played this game a decade ago and more…… the only thing the same is it’s baseball…… obviously u can’t recreate the wheel in a sports game but this is the best baseball game ever made and it’s not even close

I wish they would get an actual face scan of John Smoltz cause the default face they included with the game (which I noticed from 2020) looks nothing like him. It looks better than the full beard look he was given in 2020 but still doesn't look like him when you look at guys like Greg Maddux that have a face scan so it looks just like him.
Also, I don't know why Tom Glavine is given the high sock look. I've watched the Braves my whole life and not once can I ever think of a time when Tom Glavine pitched a game with his pants legs pulled up and yet that's the way he's made on the game. Why?Atlanta Braves
Atlanta Falcons
Auburn Tigers
Detroit Red Wings

I totally agree, and really like this years game (minus the equipment subtractions). I was more pointing to the fact that anyone who remotely criticizes anything with this game should just be grateful we have anything. My point was we are paying for the game. They are not doing us some selfless service. We put millions in their pocket. Yes they give us “1000’s of hours” of entertainment, but that’s what we are paying for.Comment

Sure, but there are many legacy bugs and problems that go ignored year after year. I think that’s a better assessment than saying “the game is the same.”

Still no Nike catchers gear…I just don’t get it. Nike makes the MLB uniforms I wonder if they’d be bitter knowing some of their other products aren’t featured in the game smh.

There is no way they just took it out to take it out. I really think there has to be a reason here. The silence from SDS tells me there is a reason why and they can't tell us at this point. That usually means something to do with legal reasons such as licensing. Just because Nike makes the uniforms doesn't mean they have a global license to use anything Nike. We've seen this in other games with Jordan brand stuff. Catchers gear could and probably is a separate license from Nike cleats for just one example.
Maybe they are working on getting everything squared away for new licensing on some of this equipment.
Look, I know people don't wanna hear this stuff, but business rules everything. And I just don't see SDS leaving out this equipment for no good reason. The silence actually speaks volumes in this case.
I wanna believe there is a good reason, and that they get everything in the game soon.Last edited by PVarck31; 04-14-2022, 04:58 PM.Comment

There still needs to be patches for home plate umps not taking their masks off for plays at the plate and for players looking in random directions or the wrong directions entirely. Pop up to the catcher the player looks out to center. What? Also we need the on deck hitter to tell the base runner coming home to slide or not.Comment

I seriously doubt they took out the equipment this year to spite Nike. I mean that's basically what you are implying by saying I wonder if they are bitter.

Fair enough at the expense of coming off as a fanboy I’ll just say 2006 is a long ways from the experience we are having with 22 lol
