Re: Does anyone know when this first live roster update will be?
Of course, and I don't expect him to be too high with that in mind, but man...it's hard not to feel they low-balled him
Even if he doesn't live up to his numbers in Japan, there's little doubt he's at least as good as Ian Happ...or pretty much everyone on the Cubs lol.
If they're going to update rosters every couple weeks, at least boost him up to his current production, then they can always drop him down when/if he cools off...makes much more sense than starting him too low imo.Chicago Cubs
Michigan Wolverines

Re: Does anyone know when this first live roster update will be?
Honestly it seems like their current ratings system struggles to rate anyone who doesn't have a full season of experience in the big leagues. Lots of prospects with weird ratings. That's why I like using some of the rerated rosters that people release here, or rerating the roster myselfLast edited by bronxbombers21325; 04-15-2022, 08:56 PM.Comment

I feel you. Just wish we could use custom rosters in MTO.Comment

Re: Does anyone know when this first live roster update will be?
I understand Mets fans want Cano. Totally get it. But lets not act like a bunch of petulant children who didn't get their way. Obviously not talking to everyone who has posted about him. But yeah.
There is this thing called Occam's Razor. He remains one of the last people to be in the game. He didn't play last year, he needed to be re-added to the players union. There was a lockout. Couldn't it be more likely than not that it's a paper work issue, or something like that, other than those dastardly lazy *** devs at SDS who hate Cano?
If you have a problem with the devs at SDS, and feel the need to call them out in a non-constructive way, then take it off this site or you will be banned.
And BTW, I don't enjoy making posts like this.Last edited by PVarck31; 04-15-2022, 10:49 PM.Comment

Re: Does anyone know when this first live roster update will be?
That’s not why he isn’t in though. It’s because he was off the 40 man roster for a full season, so they lose their PA eligibility or something and have to re-file their paperwork after appearing in a game the following season. So presumably, he hasn’t done the paperwork yet. Hence his exclusion.Comment

Re: Does anyone know when this first live roster update will be?
I’ve been saying all along that SDS needs to work out a better deal with the MLBPA to prevent this from happening. My biggest issue is that this happens every year when the simple solution would be to make the licensing good for as long as the player is in the league. Having to get new paperwork every year seems counterproductive. There are a lot of paying customers who feel like for the money we invest in the game, that we should be able to start a franchise with accurate rosters pretty close to the start of the real season. But if we want to do that, we have to wait for the numerous players that SDS can’t add until the paperwork is done. That’s my main beef. Not necessarily with the developers but with the higher ups who are quick to take our money but slow to do anything to fix this problem. Ban me if you must but it’s just frustrating to jump through the same hoops year after year.Comment

How is he playing actual MLB games if he hasn’t filed the proper paperwork? If he can appear in real games, he or anyone else, should be able to appear in a video game.Comment

Listen man, we've given you a lot of leeway here. I understand you are upset, but is it really worth the continued frustrated posting? We get it. Please just let everything work out. There is no reason to keep harping on it.
I don't want to ban you, and I'm not saying that as a threat, but as sincere as I can be.Comment

Saying they need a "better deal" is just completely naive. SDS has to follow the deal the MLBPA has in place with the owners They are not in any part of that deal. There are no workarounds or better deals.
The MLBPA makes deals with the owners. No one else. It's pretty simple actually. SDS has to follow them as part of their agreement.
We just went through a lockout. Did you happen to see if the MLBPA brought the accuracy of their likeness in MLBTS? I didn't, correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think it's much of a priority to them.Last edited by kehlis; 04-15-2022, 11:39 PM.Comment

Re: Does anyone know when this first live roster update will be?
As far as I know, he can play while the paperwork is pending. I'm sure the signatures are on paper, it's probably still being all processed. And it also probably takes some time for SDS to get everything squared away.
