I will use the Tigers as always and might start off with a March to October in order to jump start the rebuild. Am I correct and thinking that after the 1st year in March to Oct you have the option to continue it as a full blown franchise and not just another MTO?

I started a test MTO in MLB 22 to test it out before 23 releases and wouldn't you know it right at the end of the season, the game froze when I was batting and since it auto saves every time I reload it it starts the game and then freezes, so I never got far enough to answer this question

I have it narrowed down to 4 teams. Boston, Cincinnati, Texas, or Washington. Leaning towards Washington or Cincy. Waiting to see what Texas and Cincy's City Connect uniforms will look like since they are rumored to be 2 of the teams getting them this year

As of now I plan to have Bob Nutting sell the Pirates to a Cohen type owner. I will play year one with the current roster and then have loads of money to spend on free agents like Ohtani, Urias, Nola, etc and build a team the fans of Pittsburgh deserve. Playing in the best ballpark in the game will just be a bonus.

My pick is the Cleveland Indians although I do like to play many of the other pre expansion teams.
The Negro league addition this year is exciting. I don't have a lot of experience with the players but I think it's a real history lesson for all of us and it shines a light on the the legendary players
That's what it's all about history beautiful history and it shouldn't be tempered or erased.
Cleveland Indians has a good ring to it sounds like great warriors...who came up with the word Guardians sounds like an adult diaper product.
My mom grew up in an indian reservation we are part Cherokee Indian proud of my heritage.

Yes, I was saddened with the name change from Indians to Guardians. As a life long (42 years) Cleveland sports fan, it stung at first.

But... The history of baseball in Cleveland is not about the name. It is about players like Bob Feller, Larry Doby, Tris Speaker, Lou Boudreau, Jim Thome, Albert Belle, and countless others. It is about Cleveland Municipal Stadium, League Park, the run of success in the 90s, two world series titles, and more.

Other teams have changed names for different reasons and their history still exists. It's acted as if the name change has somehow made 120 plus years of Cleveland baseball history just disappear. Heck, they used to be the Spiders. But that history is still a part of Cleveland baseball.

The memories I have with my dad going to Indians games as a kid will always be there. No matter the name.

The anger over this needs to stop.

Lighten up guys. I thought it was a funny joke and a funny name not everybody has the same sense of humor. That's okay Some of you are missing the point The point is I'm a roster builder. This is a video game and nothing should be taken away from our imagination or from history of the game and yes the Indians were once called the spiders. Why not include that too? Why take names away from teams from the past? If you don't like the name ignore it.
If for some reason SDS can't put indians on there created team list can they at least offer The tribe.

I'm truly impartial on this topic. But when I read their post, I did not infer anger or anything like that. It was definitely an odd, poorly-constructed segue by the poster which added nothing to their post - but it was not some sort of crazy rant.

Just an observation, but YOU generally seem to be the one that is quite sensitive whenever someone brings this up. And I get it why you would be, but when someone infers anger that isn't there; usually that person is dealing with a bit of their own. And to be fair, written text is not the best way of having a discussion like this, as it can be easy to mis-read a person. But if you were as accepting of the situation as you say you are, you probably wouldn't have responded at all.

It's all in fun, just a light hearted conversation, I don't think anything negative was portrayed.

I think if enough people were begging for The Tribe and the Spiders to be included, they probably would be in there. It's probably just not that popular of an ask for them to consider it.
