I've spent a lot of time in the last few years with the Mariners, A's, Orioles, Rangers and Tigers.

I'm bringing it back to the Diamondbacks this year after full spring training rosters are released. I started toying with Armor & Sword clean screen setup with sliders and incorporated JWDixon's approach of weekly storyline events that make the season interesting.

The combo of those 2 items have absolutely sucked me back into franchise and playing every single game for the season.

I was going to go with the Mariners, but now I've upgraded to a Next Gen console. So, depending on if they've made as yet unreleased improvements to stadium creator, I might go with the A's instead.

Im leaning more and more towards the Tigers but still going to wait until I have the game to make a final decision.

these teams have the Official Caulfield Seal of Approval for use in franchise:
Braves
D'Backs
Rockies
Reds
Pirates
Orioles
White Sox
Tigers
Mariners
A's
Rangers

these teams are on the permanent banned from use list:
Mets
Phillies
Brewers
Dodgers
Yankees
Red Sox
Cubs
Angels
Astros

these teams are acceptable for use, but w/o the official reccomendation:
Blue Jays
Rays
Marlins
Nationals
Twins
Guardians
Cardinals
Giants
Padres
Royals

Pretty sure the Guardians should be on the seal list and all of the other AL central teams on the permanent banned list. May want to fix that lol.

If custom stadiums have been updated to allow outfield distance markers, ad's on walls, team branding, and other little things to put them even with actual MLB stadiums, I plan to do a custom stadium with the A's. Because I can't stand playing games in the Coliseum. If not, probably go with my local Reds, who are also pretty crappy. LOL

You can go ahead and make plans with those Reds. Two stadiums were seen in the DD stream and they have zero items on your wishlist.

That doesn't mean those things aren't in, just that they weren't used on the stadiums they've shown off. I'd lean towards that stuff not being in, but it not being shown off in the background of something else in passing is hardly proof.

Last year I played with the L.A. Angles so this year I'm picking the Blue Jays.

In past years I've struggled to get deep into a franchise mode with a single team. I either make a team too good or move onto another. The way I plan to combat that this year is to play with 4 teams with a different spin:

St. Louis Cardinals- My favorite team. I haven't used them much in franchise because I love rebuilds and they've always been too good. But with this new spin I can use them without issue. I love the young players and prospects on this team.

Baltimore Orioles- I plan to go full Cohen mode. Spending money to support the young talent already in the organization should be fun.

Oakland A's - I plan to take the role of an owner that manages to build a new stadium in Oakland but doesn't have a ton of surplus budget. This team will be built without being able to add significantly in free agency.

Expansion Iowa Team- First year draft only. Second year minors only. Third year debut. In this universe the Marlins fold, the Pirates move to the NL East, and my expansion team joins the Central.

Yeah..after watching the latest video seems there will be too many little things missed with a custom stadium. So it's either the Reds (which I used in 21) or another bottom 5 team.

The Dodgers for the third time ('19, '22, '23). I just won the World Series with them earlier today. I finished very quickly as I started in January and I deleted the file on accident so I did it again. I do all of the spring training games. I got an Xbox Series S in December for my birthday so I had to expedite the process because I thought I was going to buy '23, but I don't have to now. I have Game Pass Ultimate so I don't have to worry about buying the game every year so I hope to do three to four seasons as the Dodgers.

If anyone is wondering how I finished a franchise in 2 1/2 months, I have worked at home since 2009. I usually play 10 games on the weekends, but now it's 8 games Saturday and Sunday. Sometimes I cheat and play on other days, but usually I play consistently on the weekends.
