The schedule and new playoff format is huge. I just did not know why they are using it as a selling point to the degree of asking the customer to accept it as a new addition. If the sport has it you need to have it. Image a sports game saying well despite the MLB having 16 playoff teams we are going to only allow 8. Nobody would take the game serious

haha, true madden franchise mode is a disaster. After one season half the marquee QB's were let become free agents and signed elsewhere. Madden franchise mode not even in same league as MLB the show. Now NBA2K that is another storyMets Baseball, All Day Every Day

The sad thing is, Maddens franchise mode is incredibly shallow, but still has more depth than MLB. It's undeniableComment

MLB The Show 23 Road to the Show & Face Scan Details Revealed
2K Sports needs to buy the licenses for MLB the Show and Madden. Or one of us need to hit the lotto and buy all 3!
1. Keep MLB the Show’s gameplay, Road to the Show and build a stadium, then totally redo graphics and player models, animations, atmosphere and franchise depth from NBA 2K.
2. Start with Madden’s graphics, then polish that up, and update EVERYTHING else.
Lastly, weekly updates for a yearly title is overkill and sets up the audience to be underwhelmed.

hey, in my game, everything is customisable.
you want Astroturf at Wrigley, you got it.
you want Bermuda at the Trop, you got it.
you want Acapulco Gold in San Diego, well, maybe I can't promise thatOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

You nailed the commentary thing. But in all due respect we did just get a complete overhaul of the commentary last season with new announcers. That took a lot of time and effort to put into the game. I am not really sure how much more they can add to the commentary. If you play 1000 games you are going to hear it all. Commentary to me is fine. I mean what else can they do? Add every announcer for every team in the game? The time, effort and money that would take. Never will happenComment

Not apples to apples, but those are rules irl that aren’t in the game.Comment

The throw-over limit not being in the game is kind of a big deal. The CPU throws over there so much when you take a bigger lead.Comment

MLB The Show 23 Road to the Show & Face Scan Details Revealed
So yeah….this is about RTTS and I also do not like the direction they went on with this mode starting on 21.
It’s pretty bad compared to years past.
I am in Year 7 of a franchise….I guess I am finding plenty of depth in franchise mode.
For me the depth is in the story’s that evolve from my roster construction.
Scouting works
Draft works
All CBA rules are present
So I want more? Yeah of course. But I function fully with 30 team control and love playing the Show (20).
It needs some AI logic fixes and
Bullpen management, needs expanded rosters, bigger draft, international free agency and full league history and full minor league historical stats on the player cards.
Not much more is needed.
Yet here we are and we have not gotten any of the things I mentioned above which this community (and the franchise community in general) have asked for over a decade now.
Oh well.
Back to the joy in my life that is MLB 20.
