If you were around for the game progression from 2006 on the ps2 to 2011 on the ps3…. Imagine then thinking about what another 12 years would be like. And then finding out it’s actually not that different.

This year's new features seem to be anemic for sure. Nothing to really get excited about in this feature premiere at all.

I wonder if SDS is just banking on people buying the game for the new schedule and expanded playoffs (the latter of which should’ve been in last year). As of now, that’s the only reason I have to plunk down my money.

I’m not even a RTTS guy but the lack of improvements so far offends me. That mode is the GAME’S NAMESAKE.

I'm not an RTTS player so I didn't really care for this stream but I feel sorry for the ones that do but man those bat sounds were nice!

Besides the minimal updates in every mode this year and no graphical updates I seriously think they have a multi year development plan with a new engine and major graphical overhaul they will roll out next year when the adoptation of the ps5 and xbox series x are at a level where they can finally capitalize on. Maybe they even keep the old engine for another year for the ps4, xbox and switch.

Since Face Scan is best enjoyed by those whose last name is in the database, I was foolishly hoping for a comment regarding efforts to rebuild the database after so many names were lost with MLB 20. I guess this will have to wait for the release of the game.

It is becoming harder day by day to explain my wife that buying this game every year is not a waste of money. She even started mocking me a couple years ago I should starting listen to her more carefully

"accidently" feed the cat dog food.
have your mom over tohang out with you and your wife more often.
the possibilities are endless.
play your cards right, SHE will buy 23 for you herself

I couldn’t care less about face scans, “ballplayer”, card packs, cut scenes, archetypes, load outs, etc. So nope, not buying MLB Diamond Dynasty 23.

Looks like another year of sticking with 20, which is fine because it’s a damn good game that plays wonderful on the PS5.

SDS remember RTTS the most popular played part of the Show by far more than , DD, MOT or Franchise combined. You mailed it in this year: We got bat sounds every mode get those, face scans okay, new UI and then the training than no likes or cares about and you call it immersion. Well immerse this:The captain and crew at SDS is steering towards a ice burg and you better change course soon or this ship is going to sink. When you have the lowest sales ever this year you might want to re-consider removing DD part from RTTS and go back to basics with RTTS the most beloved part of the game.

Funny that people here still think that we’re the vast majority of buyers of this game. The fact we’re still communicating on and old school forum says enough. We’re the dinosaurs but at the bodem of the food/buy chain.

The Show will do just fine, the extra DD revenue from xbox users alone is a huge money stream.

I’m not liking the direction this game is going in just as the next OS guys but it is what is is. No boycot from us is gonna make them change course.
