RP ratings are always something i never understood. They are rated so badly but they could be by design because of the conversion from RP to SP. You switch a RP who has a 62 rating into a SP and he becomes a 70. Wondering if most of the RP are rated so low based on that system.

And that is the real problem. Nowadays the absolute majority want online games, they don't want a franchise season, they want to beat real people. They spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on their team.

People like me and maybe you are a relic and from a business perspective it's completely natural. Why would any company like EA, 2K or Sony invest time and resources into a product that doesn't make them any money? They could also simply cancel franchise mode and still make more money. And they will do it, when no one is playing it anymore. Do I like that move? Not at all. I stopped playing FIFA, NHL and Madden because of that, because these games became trash for me. The gameplay from MLB is still good enough for me and I enjoyed 23.

So thats why I asked. I can still enjoy Franchise, even though there are is nothing real new.

this is were we absolutely agree. But this is what the gaming world has become. I used to be very active in communities, giving ideas for Career mode, Franchise mode and so on. Hell, some youtubers were doing whole conception work and nobody listened. It is not even that the developers can´t or don´t want to do anything. They get exactly told by their bosses what to program. Many Franchise player gave up and even switched to online games. So again, from a business perspective they do everything right, but gaming was not always business only.

I think we'll get that wish next year, at least in regards to dropping PS4 and last gen XBox. The wildcard will be Nintendo and whether or not it gums up the works.

A huge issue is injuries as well.

Lack of injuries really balloons bullpen usage for that LRP guy.

There needs to be more blisters, arm fstugue, day-to-day injuries etc.

Depth should play a much bigger role than it does now. This year I may try out maxed injury slider.

I hate that Madden isn't on the Switch just for the fact that means EA CFB won't more than likely be there either and I would really love to have the handheld Nintendo at work to play college football. But more to the point, maybe Madden is better off skipping Nintendo and maybe MLB should give Sony the okay to forgo Nintendo as well from here on out.

Question for those who do use 30 team control to try to reorganize AI bullpens … I’d assume this isn’t something you just need to do once a season .., since once it goes back to AI control they’d probably reverse all changes ? So you basically need to be adjusting CPU bullpens every day of a franchise ?

Unless there's a bug, if you have 30 team control ON (by the way, a very different thing than turning on CPU Roster Control) and everything else set to 'manual' instead of 'auto', you should get notifications when there is an injury and a roster tweak is needed for other teams. Then you have to manual fix it or let the CPU auto fix it. My biggest hangup aside from having to be obsessive compulsive to stay on top of 29 other teams is, I can't be fired as GM of my own team. So 30 team control isn't for me.
