I saw this posted elsewhere but I’ll put it here as well. Quick counts now counts all pitches against your pitch count. This leads to pitchers almost always throwing their 100th pitch by the 5th, sometimes sooner.

Even when throwing a gem of a game I was at 100+ in the 5th inning. Stamina at 9 for both starters and it’s a chore to get through five even in a shout out.

1-1 starting count used to count as one pitch towards the total and worked beautifully.

You won't lose your save files if you delete the game off your console. Save files are separate from game data files.

When I bounced back to '21 after I had issues with '22, I had to re-install the game but my saves files were still on the system.

Trying this option now once its done and I test it I will report back. If this does not work I will wait for tomorrow release and see if an update fixes it. If not I might have to except i have a corrupted file

No dice a reinstall did not fix it. This really sucks. If the patch tomorrow (I am assuming one is coming tomorrow) does not fix it I am screwed. I am not confident as I posted on the show forums and it seems nobody else is having this issue. not sure how my file became corrupt. But seems even the people wiht crashes is different from my issue.

I understand that, but in past years a 1-1 starting count would only add one pitch to the total as a counter balance to keep pitch counts at a realistic number. This simulated some one and two pitch at bats in effect.

Now all pitches are counting and even with stamina at 9, foul frequency at 1 it's a miracle if you're not over 100 pitches in the 5th inning.

Are you on PS5?

If so do you have Cloud Storage?

The game, I believe auto syncs with the cloud and uploads saves files to their. You could try downloading the files from cloud storage to the console and see if those will load.

Did not work, I really wish we had a way to contact them. I have posted on the sds forums and not a single response to my post. sent in bug reports. I really wish there was a better way. Even tried twitter.

Do we know for sure that a patch is coming out tomorrow with the official release?

Been doing some more tests and at least for me the crash only happens when Im using the Regional Broadcast pack, with The show broadcast no crashes so far. (Xbox SX)

After saving an in progress franchise game and loading it the pitchers pitch count resets to 0.

Thanks, huge find if that’s really the cause. Can definitely deal with always running The Show Theme for now if we don’t get a day 1 patch. You might’ve just saved the game for me until then, couldn’t get into it while wondering if it was going to crash.

Hopefully its a fix, played 6 straight games without crashin with The show theme... before that with the regional theme i didnt finnish one full game I think...

I had two games my first year in franchise where I started the 10th with the courtesy runner, one game got a walk, the other an infield hit and when my next batter came up both runners disappeared.

The walk and hit were still in the game log.
