If CPU teams get too devastated, I'll turn manual injuries back on, clear some of their injuries, then go back to standard Injuries on.

Re: Injuries? What is the deal?

One thing I have noticed with injuries in MLB the Show is the lack of injuries to pitchers. I think that is my biggest complaint. I feel like I can pitch the whole season with the same 5 starters even with injury sliders up. I usually end up going in and manually injuring one every now and then. Realistically most teams probably have 8-10 different pitchers starting throughout a season.

Injuries to position players are usually pretty realistic.

Which is funny, because mine are mostly pitchers and rarely position players. Not sure why or how.

Mine is on 6. 9 games in:

Zack Wheeler 1-2 month injury on Opening Day 2nd inning.

Jose Alvarado 1-6 days lower back injury ( Game 8)

30 team control, you can still have injuries and trades but with CPU Roster Control on, injuries and trades are both a no go. I'm not sure but with CPU Roster Control, GM Contracts and Budgets are off but I think maybe GM and Budgets can still be on with 30 Team Control on? I'm not positive tho.

I play every inning of every game and the last two years I have gotten well into season two. I'm on pace to likely get into a 3rd season this year if I don't get burnt out on the game. I like the realism of injuries, but also want to have the most competitive teams possible with the best players, but it's also fun to have guys from the minors get their chance.

If a player is injured for 1-2 weeks or less, I leave it. If they are injured for a month or so, I knock it down to a minimum DL stint injury. If they are 2-3 months, they get a 30 - 59 day injury. If they are 6+ months, then they get a 2-3 month injury.

I go in after every game and make the changes. You need to be on 30 team control and manual injuries. I change it back to injuries on before I pay rather than manual as I don't recall a live injury in my games ever if it is on manual (though I could be wrong).

                  Hey! What's up?

Roster control on will let you export players, save them, and add them to another roster. Example of this would be what Caulfield is doing with his roster. It does give you all 30 team control but roster injuries are turned off. Not sure why SDS did this but it unfortunately is what it is.

30 team control will let you control what you want on all 30 teams, like above, but with roster injuries enabled. Check out Armor and Sword's MLB 20 slider thread. I am pretty sure he has a big run down on how to do it.

If you want injuries and 30 team control (or just multiple team control) keep roster control on the setup settings off then follow what Armor and Sword has in his slider thread.

I always turn off pre existing injuries when I start a new sports franchise and then whatever happens in it is my own world. But I hate starting a new franchise with pre existing injuries.

Yea, I never play with pre-existing injuries but injuries DO happen in real life and shake things up a bit when you have to deal with one. I like the surprise/challenge aspect of it in a video game.

This is what I do. I don't want any pre-existing factors to influence my franchise. In any sports game. Not just MLB.

I had a pitcher get injured on a play were the pitch wasn't put in play. The catcher threw the ball back to the mound and the message said the pitcher was hit in the head.

I don't know about other modes but in manage mode there are injuries.

Do the "best" players play all the time? nope, my question why WOULDN'T you want to play with injuries...it's all about the roster management aspect and just adds another level of depth, what fun is there in knowing that without injuries it makes no difference who I use in my franchise.
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

That is funny. I'm curious because I've always wondered if this makes a difference, how low do you usually let pitchers stamina meters go down before you take them out? Typically once they hit yellow I'm pretty much replacing them but I wondered if I let it get down more if that would have some kind of impact on injuries.
