How do u get SOT on ps5 on mlb 20?

I just put ‘23 aside and went back to ‘20. I want ‘24 to feel really fresh as right now ‘24 will probably feel a lot like ‘23 when it’s released. ‘20 is absolutely solid and I’ll be able to see some ‘new’ old stuff along the way. SOTS a plus, quick counts aren’t FUBAR. The game also looks beautiful on the PS5.

It shows up in the menu in 20. That’s what I don’t understand. Play 20 on the PS5 and you have SOTS. Play 23 on it and there is no option.

You want sounds of the show, gotta get PS4 version. Want stadiums, gotta get PS5 version.


Now if they could've only had SOTS AND stadium creator on Show 20!!!

Think of the possibilities with that.

I think it's because of the Xbox. MLB wanted parity features between the Xbox and PS5, so Sony had to dumb it down on the PS5 to appease Microsoft.

According to Steve at SDS the reason is due to the PS5 not having a feature in its OS required to use SOTS. The quote below is from a thread discussing SOTS issues in 2023.

I am not at liberty and I honestly don't know but I can tell you the reason it's not currently on PS5 is that Sony removed a feature from the PS5 operating system that we use for SOTS on the PS4. And I also understand how it appears strange from the outside since you can play the PS4 game with SOTS on your PS5 but they are using two different OSes.

I could not get signed in at all on 19 yesterday but on 20 still no problem.

I wanted to do once final scrub on 19.

I'm playing Diamond Dynasty at this very moment in MLB 19, and there is a countdown screen within DD that is at 20 hours and 20 minutes, I'm assuming its the final countdown until decomm.

It gave me the "Server Could Not Be Accessed" message/screen at start-up, but once I actually entered the vaults I was still able to navigate and download as per usual.

Its with a heavy heart I have news that the server for Show 20 is DEAD.

Apparently the server was very sick for some time and tried its best to stay with us but in the end AGE took over and he breathed his last breath.

Thanks for all the memories and the incredible Show 20 rosters we've loved all these years.

You will truly be missed. God speed.

Twenty was a good friend and will be missed. What I'm concerned about is are his 3 children (21, 22, 23) really ready to carry on Twenty's legacy. And I'm not one to go around repeating rumors, so you better listen close the first time, word is Twenty was expecting a newborn in a couple months. Going to be tough boots to fill for that young one, if true. Goodbye Twenty, we hardly knew ye, and should have had another year to go. The King is dead. Long live the King.
