If they are in here now then I am sure they try and do it undercover to avoid being judged all day long. All games try and read feedback. Its how they improve and learn what people want. Does not mean they can put it in but never hurts to know.Mets Baseball, All Day Every Day

Re: Does SDS read these?
So if they’re in here, they must know people have been begging for graphical Changes or at least player model updates for years. Any reason why they never seem to address it? Are they incapable or are they prioritizing quick easy money to just push DD and we should give up the dream of ever having next gen, actually just current gen at this point, graphics.
Some will say we, or I, am too harsh, but I’m sorry, I dropped 500 bucks on a ps5 three years ago for this game and I shoulda just kept ps4 at this rate. I find that unacceptable and worthy of our anger that the capabilities of this system they marketed and we bought is barely utilized for this game. Smoother frame rate is nice but cmon, it’s ridiculous how little they’ve gotten out of this system.
I would love to pick Ramon’s brain on that.
I’m a baseball junkie and they have my suckers because of their monopoly. I readily admit that. But I’m getting closer and closer to saying why bother, never thought I’d be at that point with this game. Used to be the crème de la crème.
On top of the development time, they need to take into account testing and every new update/feature made means hundreds of hours of testing (if not more) to multiple game modes, UIs, and gameplay to make sure it didn’t unintentionally break something else in the game.
I personally didn’t realize this until I had friends start working in tech. We can ask for the world but they can only build it out a piece at a time. I wish more people here dealt with tech and coding so they can understand adding something new isn’t as easy as putting in a new screen or new mode and just adding it into the game. It takes a lot of time and testing for even the smallest update and that only gets more difficult as the technology improves and the game gets larger.Comment

Because as much as people don’t want talk about it or think it’s an excuse, they only have a 6-8 month cycle to pump out a new game so they have to have a priority list and compare it to how long it takes to implement new/different features. I’m sure there are devs over there that would love to add in all of the requested features from the community since they themselves are fans of the game and play it. But there’s limited time and resources to get these things done and decisions need to be made to make sure the game comes out on time and will sell.

In a perfect world they would release a new "full" edition of the game every 4 years for $70, and give downloadable updates for rosters and live service content every season for $20. It would mean expectations every year wouldn't be so high until a new full release comes around, which gives the team a real dev cycle where meaningful changes can be made without having to get it out the door in 9 months.
But obviously money is the driving force for everything, and as long as people keep paying for it every year, there is no incentive for them to change. But it also means that those of us that aren't as satisfied with smaller and smaller updates every year have a legitimate gripe with the fact that they are still charging $70 every year without adding $70 worth of new content.Comment

While I agree it’s definitely a challenge to get new features and substantial improvements on a year to to year basis, they’ve had more than enough time to at least acknowledge it’s something they are aware of and hope to address in the future. Here’s to hoping for a nice surprise once we finally get a trailer.Comment

Re: Does SDS read these?
Am I just old (46) that I think the graphics look great and many others do not? Like what else do we want the graphics to do? And I ask that seriously. Do we want to see the guys spitting? Like what do we want to see. Cause to me I like the graphicsMets Baseball, All Day Every Day

We want the graphics to be at least at par level. We want the graphics to not be unquestionably and undeniably the worst of all the Triple A sports titlesComment

Re: Does SDS read these?
I’m 40. I think the graphics are fine. They could of course look better. I agree with those that say the game really doesn’t look like a PS5 game. But it doesn’t look terrible by any stretch of the imagination. One big thing I wish they would improve is the grass and dirt though. It needs to look a lot brighter and realistic. As it is it looks like a green tarp.Comment

Short of Sony retiring "The Show" brand, reinventing the wheel, baseball, and video game baseball, it's going to be hard to keep putting out this version of baseball and be tasked with making it look unrecognizable to today's game.T-BONE.
