I watched the video on Youtube. I'm sorry it's minimal at best.

I'm sure I'll get roasted by some, but other than the rain puddling on the field I can't tell a lot of difference. It may look slightly better(debatable) but it's not a big enough leap to get all worked up over. IMO.

Lol this whole topic was created to discuss graphics and competition. All you contributed to this discussion was being a bitter SDS fanboy who keeps saying both games look the same.

You might be shocked to learn that most people here actually enjoy MLB The Show. You're hardly one to label anyone a fanboy by the looks of your posts.

As for bitter, I've sank close to 400 hours into this years game, so not sure where you're getting bitter from. I'd go so far as to say someone who comes to a games board to s**t on it at every opportunity comes across far more bitter than anyone that enjoys the game. But, hey, that's just me.

The thread was created to discuss the Show's graphics. And was meant to do so in a mature manner, not to take shots at SDS or name call other users simply because they don't feel the same about your beloved PYS game as you do.

The graphics are outdated since mid PS4 cycle. Blame the engine.

Everything they add new every year like animated hair or better skin texture with better lighting is years behind standards.

I don't blame anything because I don't hold graphics in a high regard. To me the game looks fine and plays extremely well on the field, which is what I care about the most.

I'll put myself at risk of sounding "bitter" again, but, I've watched videos of gameplay from PYS, and like I said earlier, the differences are minimal at best. Player models and movements actually look worse, and way weirder than The Show. Grass/Turf and dirt looks no better. Only thing that is slightly better, and I mean slightly is the stadiums and surrounding areas. I don't care if people play that instead of the show, have at it. But like I said, I'm sure it has it's own board. I don't see what is productive about gushing over it on another games board.

He knows. He has 25% of the posts in the PYS 24 thread. He just wants the engagement (and argument - see how quickly he went to "SDS fanboy") so he posts it on The Show board too.

Have you even followed the graphics discussion this year? It wasn't just this thread, it was going on several threads before.

I have made post #6 on this thread. 340 something post before saying fanboy to a guy who constantly hijacks graphic discussions by saying MLB is fine the way it is. Even later saying MLB is better which is absolutely wrong so. MLB has better fielding animations, true. But that's it.

How can ppl defend warm up pitching animations for pitches of 100mph. Almost every pitch animation doesn't look real. There are several videos on YouTube demonstrating this issue.

Since you like to count posts I have checked the first few in here. I have seen about 25 ppl saying MLB needs to improve in several areas to be on par with today's technology. 5 ppl said MLB is fine. So 1/5 it is who are trying to downplay other opinions for weeks and months this year.

As someone said before somehow it is always the graphics discussions who gets invaded by no sayers. You don't see this behavior on franchise or gameplay discussions.

Just because someone says that they feel that the graphics are fine in a thread dedicated to discussing graphics isn’t hijacking the thread. Nor is he “wrong” for saying MLB is better, it’s his opinion.

And for the record this thread was created because other thread topics consistently gravitated towards graphics discussion versus the topic of the thread.

So giving my opinion on MLB The Show graphics on the MLB The Show graphics discussion thread is "constantly hijacking the thread" but posting pics and vids of another game that has nothing to do with the MLB The Show on the MLB The Show board and gushing over how wonderful it is and calling people fanboys if they don't agree isn't? Interesting logic you have.

How can someone say MLB has better graphics? You can say you prefer playing MLB because of license, or language or playing DD where every 2nd hit is a homerun. But ignorantly saying MLB has a better graphics/animations, come on.

At least MLB has the best looking aliens and dinosaurs in a baseball game for sure.

I have posted several images and videos of other sports games to prove my point. When the same ppl keep simply saying no this, no that. Hooray SDS.
