Yeah, its great to have in a video game, in real life not so much. In the Show, Oakland coliseum and the Trop are 2 of my favorite 30 stadiums. I dont dislike any stadium in the Show.
    Izit Spring Training yet?

I took the time to reset my login for this Ancient and archaic designed website in order to post a reply to this article because I disagree with it entirely.

First off should have done the Jeter storyline last year or over the summer as a free DLC, you don’t base the selling point of a sequel as features we already have (Moments)

      STOP GIVING SDS A BREAK!

The YouTube video deservingly has over 600 dislikes because the fan base is SICK OF THIS BS

We don’t care about the employees that researched the Subway system of New York to make it Authentic.

These past two reveals have made me so furious, this is a video game about baseball and there is no focus on that.

      They are turning into Madden.

We used to be able to set concession stand pricing and choose whether to take a bus or fly. Fans of Franchise, Road to the Show, March to October are all getting F’ed by Ramóne and friends.

Its a great nostalgia piece for sure. I'm thrilled its in.

The Kingdome was my introduction to baseball. Junior swatting homers over the rightfield wall. Edgar ripping doubles into the gap. Mr Snappy. Huge piece of my childhood and fandom.

It would be interesting what his reputation would be if he played somewhere other than NYC with those Yankees dynasty teams.

MLB The Show 24: Storylines Derek Jeter Feature Premiere Breakdown

            Speculation time:

I seriously start to think that like 70% of the team is working and has been working on the “new” version of MLB the show for a while now for when they drop the old gen. When they made these plans and divided the team the initial thought was that this was going to be the year but with the relatively slow implementation of ps5’s in living rooms this has been pushed back to next year. What this meant what was that during this development year they suddenly had to come up with something to keep it fresh (the whole graphics team was already appointed to the true “next gen” version so they couldn’t do anything anymore at this point) and the only thing they could do was transfer the Jeter storyline.

            Speculation time over.

Barry Larkin is kind of an interesting comp if you take out everything that came with the Yankee hype. But you're right about him being an all-time great regardless. Even if Larkin is a fair comp that's still a Hall of Fame resume, so it's really not worth fussing over

Certainly not impossible, but as someone who has tried to convince myself of this happening since the middle of the PS4 generation, I'll believe it when I see it.

My God, an ENTIRE 600 dislikes out of millions of people who play the Show? Sell any Sony stock you have ASAP, there's no way they can recover from a dissatisfied fanbase that totals less than one tenth of one percent.

Some people didn't much care for selling popcorn and t-shirts or modes of transportation, which has little to do with baseball. Must have been a significant number higher than 600.

I love franchise mode, but man I hated that stuff, concessions and transportation, ticket prices and all that. No interest.

This is exactly what Sports Interactive did regarding Football Manager. They split off a part of the team to start working on a new architecture and backend a few years ago. People were very negative about the game from FM20-23, then this year, they revealed FM24 was bringing year-to-year saves to the game while also unveiling a new era of Football Manager built from Unity (also a lot of other things like women's football, etc.).

My point is, if it took Sports Interactive nearly 5-years to refactor everything for a new engine, you can bet it will take as long or longer to refactor a game like MLBTS to a new engine. And SDS could very well be doing this, which is why less "big" new features are revealed for the past few release.

Man this is so true and captures my emotions as well. I honestly wonder if Ramone either A) likes baseball or B) knows the intricacies of the sport. From observing him in steams past, the way he speaks about the game and just focuses on homeruns etc I’ve always got that feeling.

Playing with Legends needs the option added of playing with a players stats totals that are current to the season of age depicted on their player card. I don't want to play with a 25 year old Jeter who already has 3000+ hits on his stat totals. Maybe I want to see if I can get him there. I'm grateful you can edit service time of legends but now they should do something about those stats totals too.
