I watch some spring training games while I work. I have the type of job where I can have a game on during work hours. It's pretty pathetic, but it's the sights and sounds that I like. Getting ready for baseball 2024.

I work from home and now that I live in Florida I have the MLB package so I have the Met games on anytime in spring they are on. I also only live two hours from where the Mets play spring ball so I go to two or three spring games a year as well.

Out. I prob would have gotten it if it came out when Spring Training started as my excitement for baseball returning was high. The moment has passed. But I do have other reasons too for not getting now. I started in 07 and Matty V is and always will be MLB the show for me. The new announcers aren’t bad but I’m biased to Matty. I’ve also gone back to PS4 Shows because I like the morale. The game is clearly made for online these days with minuscule franchise updates. I’m offline only.

Waiting. Gonna stop giving money to people that hate me. Chris Gill (Gameplay) and Clayton (Franchise) doing a great job as Dev Team Leads but time for Ramon to go work for a non-profit.

Waiting. For the first time in my life I've never felt more disconnected from the sport. The MLB is not in a good place in my opinion but that's an entirely different discussion.

I've purposely been unplugged after barely touching last year's copy as I feel like I hold this game to a standard that it doesn't quite touch anymore. Not sure how long I'll hold out - if reviews are great from the start I could see myself caving within a week LOL. If reviews are bad, I'll probably wait for when the games on sale.

As long as The Show is seeing the return on investment they expect, Ramone doing a good job. And I wouldn't say Sony hates me because they don't make the baseball game I want any more than I would think RockStar hates me because they don't make the baseball game I want.

I'm out, for the first time ever. Won't even play it on Game Pass. Not enough changes for me to justify playing it. Gameplay seems mostly the same which is fine with me but when are they going to address some graphical issues that are outdated? Mainly the grass and the dirt around the infield and home plate area.

No Y2Y saves. I've spent way too much time creating my fictional leagues with uniforms, rosters and custom stadiums to start over every year.

Custom stadium editor could be so much more, not enough improvement there.

I love the Negro Leagues but I'm not into playing "The Moments". Give me some type of setup where I can take the Negro Leagues into a franchise mode.

I love The Show and have logged close to 500 hours playing '23 on my PS5 and close to that with '20 and '22. All in franchise mode, mostly custom leagues. I don't play any other mode.

I'll continue to get my baseball "fix" with the past two or three versions I listed and be content. Plenty of rosters to download for those although the '20 servers have now been shut down.

For those that choose to purchase.....have fun!
