I have to say - the sheer panic over something no one has any details on is so funny but yet it so resembles what is happening in the world today. Knee jerk reactions and such misplaced passion. We shoudl see such passion exercised on real world issues instead of a fantasy world.

This isn’t a social Justice forum.

The game, baseball in general, is our fantasy. From our days in little league, to watching our favorite teams and players. Do some go over the top, sure, but most are level headed and enjoy substantive banter about this game. Politics and sports are starting to mix now, and that’s not good.

From someone whose been there….let fantasy baseball live on, if that’s your passion.

Barkley made a good point on the Steam Room podcast about Caitlin Clark today. That all you really need to do is say "huh, that's cool" and move on. The levels to which some of you guys are reaching on this is weird! The ones making it about politics and social justice are the ones complaining about it.

It's nice the moderators have left them open as long as they have. It's worth-while trying to convince the hardliners, because it informs the many silent observers who may have strayed towards misogyny otherwise.

Cant agree more. Its been an intetesting diversion and helped the wait til Friday. After that, I can put OS on hold again and return to my regularly scheduled programming, and just be an occasional observer again.

It's only a matter of time before a woman breaks through to the MLB. Is it going to be soon? Probably not, but that doesn't mean we should ignore it. There are already a handful of women playing in MLB partner leagues (Indy ball) and the first woman to play D1 college baseball just started her sophomore season.

I understand what you're saying, but I think we at least give the women who love baseball the opportunity to create women CAPs in their franchises.

EDIT: If players want true immersion, hopefully y'all are good with women managers / coaches showing up in franchise mode, etc.
