Franchise guy here. Any change to minor league options? More specifically, do players have the correct number of remaining options? Can you still option guys with 5+ years of MLB service time (which you can't do in IRL)?

I can’t speak from personal experience because I don’t have the game. But watching Mills this morning, he made a point to show off how they fixed the amount options available for a lot of the players. I’m not sure if it follows the 5 year rule correctly or not though.

IMO, there isn't one vs. the CPU. Which is exactly why I'm just going to turn it off.

At the same time I don't know how you'd implement it affecting the CPU unless it just randomly took more time for it throw the ball sometimes. I doubt there'd be any logic involved in it - it would just be random chance.

Yeah, couch head to head is the only thing I can think of. IDK if the pitch clock even exists online because that has its own safeguards against people refusing to pitch.

What happens when you hold R2 down while in the batter box? Does the pitch clock stop or could you force a violation by the CPU?

Just that they were scanning players. The article really focused on how the process works. It started off with with a reference to Jordan Walker and how his face scan is getting updated.

With quick counts on does the game subtract 1 pitch from the pitch count each batter (how it always used to work) or is it the same as it was in MLB23 with no reduction ?

There's an article in the stltoday this morning. The columnist writes about the Cardinals and today he did a column on The Show's face scan. They were out at the Cardinals complex. Walker is definitely getting his face scan updated.

There's a 99.9 percent chance his scan gets updated.... next year

I asked before, but I think it was buried.

Are custom leagues a new feature? Would this essentially be the same as an online franchise with friends? Can you do a fantasy draft?

Just not sure how this works because I’m usually an offline only franchise player.

I'll ask my yearly question....If you start a Franchise on Opening Day, do the Rosters, Lineups and Rotations still get messed up? Or do they actually stick from the main menu?

Is there a way to get the catcher to show fingers for pitch selection? I've messed with some settings and still can't figure this out.
