For new Franchise "Custom Game Entry"… when you enter a game can you do so with quick counts on ?

I seem to recall you didn’t have the option when entering a critical situation game, so was hoping we do have the option for this mode …

That is gonna be a no. Quick Counts option is on the pre-game screen where you choose weather, broadcast theme type, etc. You won't see that screen when using Custom Game Entry.

Does anyone know of a place that would have a list of all the player ratings?

theshowratings.com but I dont think they have updated them all to the new game yet. Usually someone on youtube does a video with ratings but I haven't checked this year.

When playing a full game in franchise, are you able to player lock onto a visiting team’s player in the top of the first inning? Haven’t been able to do that since 20.

Ugh, so frustrating. Don’t see why they introduce new game modes without allowing the full suite of options for how to play them.

Especially where it’s a mode that caters who want to get through games quicker … yet one of the things that many people who try to play games quickly use isn’t available…

Only 1 game in and it was the initial one where I set up my specific settings but 2 instances where Tatis slid into home and no diet on his pants, Cronenworth slid back I to 1st head first and no dirt on front of jersey. Did they get rid of dirt effects on jerseys or did I just get unlucky?

Only 1 game in and it was the initial one where I set up my specific settings but 2 instances where Tatis slid into home and no diet on his pants, Cronenworth slid back I to 1st head first and no dirt on front of jersey. Did they get rid of dirt effects on jerseys or did I just get unlucky?

The dirt on uniforms is there.

Not sure why it didn’t trigger for you in those instances but it’s there.

Kinda off topic but more about the player base. But how it is some people are already several seasons in a week or two after releasing? Obviously this game just came out, but I'm sure I'll be seeing that in a week or two on places like reddit and such. Are they just simming all the games, or playing 1 inning or something? Just curious.

How do you actually see CPU Pitch Suggestions is my only question so far.
Bring back the fingers, or at least let me see the Pitch Com input!
I have Pitch Clock off, but still no joy...

Thanks. Yeh, I'm doing the same.

Seems to be broken right now, as you'll see the Pitch Com animation whether switched On or Off, and just the Location is added when On.

To see the pitch type call from the catcher you need this (highlighted) option set to either Batter Attributes or Pitch Descriptions. If it is off you will not be able to see the pitch type suggestion. Ignore the rest of the settings I have set in this screenshot - they don't affect this situation and are just my personal preferences.



It looks like this in the game - see the white circle around 4SFB? That's the suggestion - in live action that white circle is pulsing.



I offer this as a solution knowing full well that the clean screen players are not going to be happy about it. If you want to play with a clean screen you're going to have to call your own game. But right now it's the only way to see the pitch type calls. While I don't think it's a bug, I do think it's a design oversight relating to the pitchcom animation introduction.

Note: You can have the confidence/energy bar, strike zone, scorebar (aka scorebug), and hot zone displays turned off - I just had them on in the screenshot here. In addition, turning off the Energy/Confidence bar will also turn off the individual confidence meters, meaning you can still "play it by ear on a pitcher's confidence situation.
